Congrats, I recognise most of those. Why are you replacing the crank ref sensor?

Will you be opening up that gearbox just received? If yes, please share a pic of PTU after separated as planetary gear should be visible. You could also be the first on RL to document a PTU clutch pack dissection or I just can't find in search engine.

One of those "while I am in there" tasks... just want to make sure that when I put everything back the car has no excuses for starting right up

Hi Jamie, because of a little I have with the crank sensor connector and you're about to replace yours, did you get part number 996-606-105-00-M14 which is an oval connector?

Or were you able to source a rectangular connector? PN 911 606 217 02

The oval connector will require upgrading the older female connector in the car to oval to accept it.

Thanks and keep the projects going. You don't know how helpful yours and others posts around here have been helping me!

I got the updated crank sensor (Part #: 996-606-105-00-M14)... so I had to get all the bits for updating the connector in the car...

(3) Electrical Connector for Plug Housing Part #: 999-652-871-22-M100
(3) Grommet for Plug Housing Part #: 999-704-161-40-M100
(1) Plug Housing for Reference Sensor Part #: 999-652-916-40-M14

I am still working on the SC->RS project... waiting on some parts to be able to finish the rear suspension so that I can install the wheels back and roll it out to work on the 964...
