Oops! I didnt see you guys changed the original list. #26 is a double.
I was kinda liking the idea of listing the builders. For the guys who didnt build themselves it gives the guys who did the work their due, and for DIY guys even better.

That list actually contains some yet to be finished motors such as mine although it's nearly done so you can leave it there if you like.

Tom,
I thought it might be an idea to add to the list of components what transmission is being used? Just to keep a reference as this is very much part and parcel with the motor build in my estimation.
I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to do this on a spreadsheet format? Then there would be room to add info and extra cells if you decided that other components should be included.

Personally I want every detail about the engines, but the format of the list is already too messy.
The best would probably be to make a real database on a separate website with all the info, and just a brief list with names and perhaps dyno info here.

Ok here goes....bearing in mind the car is still work in progress....
968 turbo with Motec M400
Engine 104mm Alusil built from a brand new Porsche bare block, Andial Pistons 104.0, Carillo Rods, 2.7 Head with JME cam & valve springs, VR 5 Turbo, Custom IC. Last recorded dyno figures were 370hp/355tq a long time ago now and very early on in the R&D programme! Still need to finish exhaust system and refine map.
My engine is an SPS engine though

Just curious of all the guys running larger turbos. How close is the turbo to the engine block and have you taken other precautions against heat?

I am totally astonished by the amount of 3.0L cars we have on Rennlist. I never thought that there was this many! And Mr. zagaone, so far you have the biggest displacement engine on the list, good job!

Ah-ha. I knew someone had a 3.4L when I said so just recently.
