Congrats on the Rennlist #1 position for the 3.0l list!
So 560 rwhp at 1.25 E85 on Rototest?
What kind of test did you do, sweeping 500 rpm/sec?

Just one 10 sec run before the computer died. 563 actually. I think there is another 25 to get. I will back this up in spring with real papers and with some mods. A good proof that the Garret 3582 will produce about 650 crank hp.

Tom:

Here is a list of some people who I 'believe' have 3.0Ls. We may want to reach out to them and see if they want to disclose their information, to make this registry as comprehensive as possible. Some of the people that came to my mind are below, hopefully they will chime in and contribute.

John, your 87 is (was?) sleeved, it uses (used?) a K27/#8. Cam is (was?) webcam.

John, Thanks I edited my post. Do you know what kind of LSD the car has? The ratcheting of the rear wheels when cornering at low speed is driving me crazy. I may swap it with the LSD in my 951 widebody dedicated track car. Current plans are to recharge the AC, install a radio and make it back into a street car albeit with a roll cage.

Well, it looks like there is renewed interest in this list. Thanks to all who have posted and/or sent me PM's about their big displacement 951 motors. I will update the list when I get a little time. Keep up the great posts!

Ok, looking at the posts, the level of detail varies greatly, and my chart is going to be difficult to keep updated in its current format. So, how about if everyone provides info in a standard format (like NZ did for the Top 10 Hp list)? I would suggest the following:

Name, displacement, bore type, bore size, stroke, piston type, head, EMS, cam, turbo, dyno results.

To illustrate, my entry would be:

Tom M'Guinn, 3.0, Alusil, 104.5, 88, Mahle/Andial, 2.7, VR, Gomes, VR5, 450/475

If everyone posts in that format, I can keep the list updated without undue effort. Additinal details and pics are welcome, but would that everyone provides the vital stats in the format above so I can keep the list current. If you don't know or have any of the info, such as dyno numbers, you can just put in n/a. What say you all?

John Torgersen, 3.0,Steel, 104, 88, JE, 2.7, Motec M4 Pro,K27/8, 383HP@15
John Torgersen, 3.0,Steel, 104, 88, JE, 2.5, LR chip/Stg3 MAF, T04 Hybrid, 366HP@15

A question, should it be stricly for running cars or should we add engines under way to the list?

The red car has a factory LSD with a clutch configuration to yield 80% lock. Just replace the clutches in the LSD to lower the %.

I think they should be for complete-running cars, not engines that are in progress. As time goes on, and a project is complete, the car should then be added to the list. Anyway, that's just my thoughts, it's really the group's collective decision.
