Have anything on hand?

The car is for sale right now so I will be installing a spec stage two clutch and turning up the boost. If im not happy with the et/trap speed at 22lbs I will most likely swallow my pride and stop taking a nurnburg machine to the drag strip. Once it sells im going to pick up johns 951.

Not bad at all for a bolt on 951 at 15lbs. Wait until I install a better clutch andcramk it up. Im aiming for mid 12s, luckily I have a few spare transaxles and spare cv's to avoid the fear.

haha...sounds good!

I brought home a earlier model CTS-V the other week and ran it against the 951. Went from a 2nd gear and then a 1st gear roll. Beat it both times. It was bone stock but ran good with third gear scratches.

But I cannt make myself launch the 951 from a dead stop..can't do it!

We all know 951's arent 1/4 mile cars... But it sure is fun seeing what you can get. It makes a world of a difference with LSD from a dig.

My 83 944 (413rwhp 422lb' rwtq V8) 1 trip to the track 1 run (Sears Point/Infineon Raceway). Was escorted off the track and NOT given a slip, however the time and reason I was kicked out (no roll bar) was 11.912@125.4 2.35 60'. I tried to get a second run out of the safety official, but he wouldn't let me, he was nice enough to give me my time though, but I know I could shave some time. Either way, these aren't 1/4 mile cars, v8 or not, these are circuit racing cars.

bwahahaha! NICE run!!!

I announced for years at the Texas Motorplex and I've seen that scneario a number of times. The race director gets a little fried but i always got a kick out of it!

Good job! That's humpin' with a very slow start (2.35). Your speed would be good for a typical 10.90 btw!

(I once showed up with a flat hood primered Nova on 8" slicks/stock rims and busted a 10.87@127mph...the Super Gas guys loved it...not so much the Race Director!) I did talk them into letting me run again on my little (14" 235/60/14) street tires...uh, still ran 11.90's at 122+, was done at that point :<)

This poses an interesting dilemma. Do I post cars with V8's? I think they would have to have their own list. - THEY including me at this point. So.. I vote no. They do not get on this list. Opinions?

I like hearing about them all....just make it a seperate entry/list with a notation on the powerplant!

Agreed - as I see it, this list is for the 944/951.

Ah, yeah, and a timeslip for myself (left lane), and video link:

I think not in the same category.

Maybe as a separate top ten or overall top list.

BTW I have a backed up 12.90 on dragtimes. Still waiting to back up my 12.62 and then maybe my 12.22 from the other car. I'm creeping up on it that's for sure. I don't post them unless I can back it with a second run.
