Zero, its wrapped up in plastic in my garage. The chassis is 3k miles away. (project is on hold since I moved west)

Pete, thats the same procedure Chris recommended, except I'm splicing in the water passage area in from a used 2.5L gasket. But yes, I'll try to get as close as possible with the gasket material and then apply some localized sealant.

OK, it's time to wake up this hibernating thread. I was supposed to drive this summer with my new engine, but that dream was blown away in April at dyno. The tuning session was cancelled after several not so pretty symptoms, and I trailered the car back home. What initially looked like a ring problem was unfortunately almost a total loss, and the reason for this was the machine shop I used. To make a long story short, piston to sleeve tolerance was half the requested ( yes, I was stupid enough not to measure it before assembly ), the block was decked without main bearing cradle torqued, so it was uneven and main oil galley was not opened and cleaned...

I had to start all over again, now with Wössner pistons, Total Seal rings and new machine shop. I had a torque plate made for bore/hone, torqued the main bearing cradle myself and made sure that they knew what they were doing. And now I measured the parts before assembly. I'm back with the Cometic and while I was there, I also installd new con rods too. Oh yes, I also recieved a package from John...VRPB+MAF+MAP+WS...

This is how it looks now:

does the stock 951 tps work with that throttle or do you have to fab up some sort of collar for the throttle shaft?

BTW nice IC its similar in size to the one I got

Pete, sorry to hear about the problems you had. I know that must have been dissapointing to you. But you have some very nice goodies now for the car. It is coming along really well, and I am amazed by how clean the engine bay is, it looks beautiful! And that IC is huge too!

Very clean Pete. Wish you best of luck this time around. What is that inlet/plenum? Something you guys put together. Very nice under hood.

I know all too well how it feels when your thoughts of a long car summer is destroyed in April... It's almost like a curse with these cars, seems at least half the builds get messed up by some reason or the other.
Hard not to long for a STOCK car sometimes...

Anyway, looks good Pete! This time I'm sure it will work out the way you're hoping.
I hope we can get together next summer with some Scandinavion 3 liter 951 action

First of all, thanks for the compliments!

Then some answers:
-Intake/plenum- It's a v2.0 with stock but shortened equal lenght runners and D-I-Y ( where D = design ) plenum
-TB- Yes, there's an adapter plate and shaft connecting Edelbrock to Bosch. My father did that while he was here helping me with our house's renovation...
-Holset- Turbine is #18. Might be slightly large, but it was recommended b/c of 3.0l.

Finally...it runs!! Started at first turn of the key, when injectors were connected. Before that I cranked it few rounds to see that WS is getting and generating correct signal. I must say that John @ Vitesse is, if not a genious, at least a wizard! He was slightly worried when I e-mailed yesterday eveing pictures of my set-up and asked last questions...he thought that direct start with WS and "slightly" modified MAF placement is courageous... BUT, it runs smoothly with correct A/FR out of the box!

My next goal is to attach light and front bumper, they're at painter's. Then ( next week ) I'm heading to dyno. BTW, I drove it w/o those parts, hoping not to meet any of men in blue....

Pete well done, I am very curious about ow the Holset spools as I have a couple on the shelf (HX40 and HC1)

I am contemplating swapping my DD back to T3 and the Holsets seem to be beefier internally than the garretts (larger shafts and bearings). As I am sure you know the 12cm hotside is avail and for what I am doing it could be a good cheap combo.
