Very sharp looking Pete. Why haven't you posted some pics of the yellow brakes, you used to post them often.

You can still see them, if you look closely...

As for the request to get more pics, I'm waiting for sunlight. And I'll wash it first.

Bingo, Garrett makes good turbos and has a very effective marketing approach................but are no longer the top dog.

For example, the new extended tip / map width enhancement groove offerings from Borg Warner, say in a Bullseye S series turbo, will put any BB Garrett to shame with a lot less heat and lag.

Hey P.P., have you got any links to the borg warner stuff, here in the U.S.? I'd like to check that out.

Sorry boys, but no new pictures today...I've been busy. First in the morning I went to get the car inspacted and approved, which it did with flying colours. From there I drove to the alignment shop and after that I've just been driving around collecting some miles. I did an oil change to find out if there's anything ugly on the magnet ( some, but less than after intial change after the start ) and checked the catch can ( empty ). So, at the moment it seems that it might work. Tomorrow I'll make an 250 miles endurance test and on Saturday perhaps some performance testing, then there's something like 550 miles with these pistons & rings.

BTW, I should do some videorecording about spooling of Holset...speed ~60 mph, 3000 rpm, manifold pressure -0.4 bar, then slight push to accelerator ( no flooring ) ---> at 3200 rpm manifold pressure is +0.2 bar and rising rapidly. Not bad.

Have you ran it higher 1 bar perhaps (sounds like not yet)

FYI with the setup I have I am seeing 1 bar ~ 36-3700 in 4th this is without any timing modifiers.

I would love to know the comparison

Sid, I'm trying to keep boost below 1 bar until it's dynoed. However it'll hit 1 bar around the same rpm you mentioned. So far this is just observation, not logged. I'll get into that tomorrow.

Good deal

One other quick question, do you remember which turbine wheel you have?? I have 2 different sizes the one in the car now is the larger one IIrc it was 76 mm major and 65mm minor, whereas the smaller one was ~ 60/55 or somwhere thereabouts. I elected to use the larger one as it was very close to the "P" trim wheel, but I am curious if the smaller one is able to spool it up using the Holset hotsides.

Larger engine too correct?? (just gathering comparison data )

Default Pictures, at last.

Boys and Girls, Ladies and Playboys, here they are, pictures of my 951, this year's collection. =D

But before going into those, few comments.
-Sid, I'm pretty sure that I have that larger compressor. And displacement is 3.0l.
-Headlight buckets and hood vents are from D9.
-There's an IC comparable in size to Patrick's, but painted in black. ( as there were discussion about this in patric's tread. )
-Side skirts are from Markus, but I deleted those vent holes.
-Headlights are E-coded motorcycle units ( H1 bulb ), and the whole assy is adjusted as one.
-Hood doesn't sit well at RF corner, reason is strut bar...has to be grinded slightly more...
-There's one pic especially to Rolex.

PS. I must now thak all those Rennlisters and RL sponsors who have helped me to complete my project:
Chris White -Darton stuff-
John @ Vitesse -Engine management-
D9 guys -Lights & vents-
Skip @ Paragon -Engine general overhaul items-
Dave Lindsey - Gaskets etc-
Markus -Side skirts-
Gustaf -Ideas-
Tom McGuinn -spring to come-
...and others...
