Default My new 944 Cab

Hello all,
Just purchased a 90 Zyclamen Pearl cab with 145000, 5sp, burg interior. Can't wait for the good weather in WI to start driving it.

Finally got all the smoked lenses installed along with the white 968 door handles and the white lower plastic pieces.
I've got grey plasti-dip on the way to try a different color on the splitter and lower plastic pieces.

The tint on black looks great. I'm not sure if I want to keep the tint or go with clear.

Time to start getting her ready for spring driving. Winter tire law ends March 15th and things are melting.

I ordered all new gaskets, crush washers plugs etc to hopefully solve my oil leak into the spark plug holes. I will take the cam cover off this weekend and drop it off to be powder coated next week so it will be fresh for re-installation.

I need to change the two fuel lines in the back of the engine compartment that go over the cam cover as well. The heat protection is all cracked and broken off so I don't want to take a chance. Anyone have a good source for these.

EDIT: I think this is what I need

am I correct?

Thanks

I was just looking into this this past week. Lindsey Racing has it and it's priced cheaper than in your link and has the "Insultherm" option.

I had/have the Lindsey fuel lines on my 944 turbo engine and the quality is really good.

One of these days I may get ambitious and drop the turbo engine into the cab.

Damn valve cover bolts one of them is stripped and I had to extract with a vice grip. Guess I will figure out the best way to source a new one tomorrow.

The valve cover is off and will be dropped off at the powder coater tomorrow. Fuel lines are off and awaiting new ones from Lindsey.

I decided I am doing the cover in Black and going with silver for the fuel lines. My plug wires are red (they were on the car when I got it) but I will go back to black next time they need changing. Overall I think that the black valve cover suits the black on black car and the silver will add a bit of bling along with the chrome strut bar.

Really warm day out getting excited to put her on the road soon
