Clean looking 1983S in Vancouver with unique colour, sport seats and no side molding asking Cdn$10k (US$7.5k). Offered by Splendid Automobiles (Robert has owned and raced 928s and originally imported my Japanese 1986S). No affiliation with sale but I talked to the PO last summer (ask was down to Cdn$7,500) but Robert scooped it before I could see it. Link to car: http://www.splendidauto.com/viewcar.aspx?carID=489

Damn that seems like a heck of a deal. That car looks very clean. And only 87K miles. And the original radio. Crap I hate when these deals are within my driving radius but all my cash is tied up with Xmas gifts! Someone please buy this quick so my temptation heart burn will go away!
Wonder what color paint that is. Not like the rectory sold rosewood metallic on eBay, which was sold very cheap at $6800, but this car has a much better conditioned interior.
Any chance someone close can check this out and info us what this car is about?

Those are the special sports seats for 928 in the early days.
Very nice car and I won't feel scared to drive it like I stole it!
Dash will need recovering soon and seat bolster can be fixed easily with the minimal damage.
However, what the heck is that thing hanging in the front stab bar?

Looks great without the rub strips.
Is it me or do those seats not appear to be 928 seats?

I can offer a little bit of insight although I have no affiliation to this car.
Both the PO and Splendid refer to the colour as Copper so it might be L443 Copper Brown Metallic.
The PO's son told me in July that his elderly father had owned it for a number of years. It was put in storage some years ago and was recommissioned to sell, supposedly with TB/WP but no paper trail that the son was aware of. The son was distressed that the car was backed into in a parking lot just as they were putting it on the market. Damage was confined to cosmetics on rear bumper cover which was repaired. The main mechanical issue in the summer was a sticking rear caliper. I saw the car listed on CL when it was Cdn$9000. I talked to the son when it dropped to Cdn$8500 and hesitated because I (wrongly) thought the seats were swapped out from a 944. When it dropped to Cdn$7500, I made an appointment to see it a couple of days later but when I was about to hop the ferry, I was told the car had sold.
A month later, I was talking to Splendid about my car (1986 Japanese-market) and Robert mentioned that he was the one who bought the subject car. He thought it was a solid car and was enjoying driving it. Looks like he took care of a few things (brakes) and finally put it in his inventory. Splendid has a very good reputation and some of its cars have featured on BaT over the years.
Hope someone jumps at this car. Check Splendid out.
So the big quote of no accident is a lie? There was an accident, minor but if anything is repaired then it should be stated or no mentioning of it. By saying no accidents as the first sentences of his ad, would one qualify that as a lie?

[QUOTE=GT6ixer;13796530]^ Yeah! That's pretty cherry. What is the green label on the ashtray?
It looks like an old style label maker adhesive strip to me.
