I love how when you post on Craigslist, scammers are all over it in such a short amount of time. I just posted today and already "sold" my car for the asking price, without any negotiation or inspection, twice.

hmm...what to do today...I know...think I'll list the GTS with a dealer who knows less than nothing about how to present a car nonetheless a 928 GTS. Why spend a few hours cleaning, etc., to make it look presentable...no, no, no. Take crappy pics, (do not edit) and make it look like a barn find then list for top dollar $$$...yeah that's it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1994-Porsche...m=232164410944 NO AFFILIATION !!

now that's a full repaint including rear bumperettes, rubber trim, etc. Appears painter did not use a flex additive in FBC, etc., either. IIRC Dave/Worf stated on another thread of how to un-rednceck a 928. Great place to start right here. T

Same seller has a black 91 GT WITH A FLOODED SALVAGE TITLE asking $35k. I offered $15k for sh*ts and giggles.

They came back with $42,500. Not a $42.5K GTS with no maintenance records.

Where do dealers get cars like this? I mean, what owner would off-sell a car like that to a wholesaler for low dollars?

Answering my own question,

I obtained my first 928 from a local collector who bought it from the local Honda dealership, who got it from the estate of the deceased first owner who really loved it. So yeah sometimes when an owner dies, his estate executor doesn't know what to do besides off-sell the vehicle to the highest quick bidder like a wholesaler or dealership.

Red Neck is a style. The blue one, on the other hand, is plain lazy.

BTW, where's the airbox on that GTS? Spare's loose in the rear. No fuel rails covers. Conclusion: No-start/hard-start diagnosis in-progress. Prognosis: Any buyer is in for a long story followed by an expensive ride.
