@TJsBeer Looks like you still have the bug. I recall you searching for a 928 before. FYI, the family and I had dinner last week at the restaurant, but I didn't see you or I would have introduced myself.
I like the BAT car. I personally wouldn't have cut up a GTS bumper like that, but it's not the end of the world. The dual exhaust is cool, but I was let down by the sound from the video. Was hoping for a deeper rumble. Pics certainly look good. - There is a lot to like with that car in my opinion. It will go for crazy money at the end on BAT. When 928 engine coffee tables go for more than $10K....
I'm not as crazy about the C&B red '88, but probably as much to do with my less than stellar experience buying my 928 off C&B. However, this seller seems much more of a straight shooter. Still I wouldn't buy it without putting my hands on it. My 2 cents. YMMV
Hope you do find one and we get another local 928 enthusiast
So that dual exhaust...seems like some cash put down for a nicely executed custom exhaust that would only have a change in aesthetics...maybe even a slight drop in performance over the stock single muffler.
Also, cutting up a GTS rear bumper (still obtainable?) seems to make more sense than hacking up a S4/GT bumper (NLA?)

interestingly, that GTS rear bumper cover is not cut up to fit that dual exhaust. It is molded. I wonder if this is a very rare unicorn car. It has an option code for “exhibition “. Waiting for Rob’s insight on this.

Hi JT,
We sold the restaurant at the end of 2019 and retired. (just in time, 4 months before covid hit).
I definitely have the bug again.
I miss my 78. I figure maybe I should try the other end of the spectrum and go for a GTS or GT this time.
I feel for the guy selling it. Seems like all they really did when the were ready to sell it were swap the original wheels back on. In doing so they mounted up 23 year old tires, put the wheels on in the wrong spots, and misplaced the centercaps..... Seems like a really nice example but just feels like not much has really been done for a while on the car.

isn't the owner here on RL? i swear i saw a post the other day about his car about to go live on C&Bs with pics of this car.

This is the problem with RoW imports. With the dash repalced and all that is going on anything could be possible. The car could have 200k miles and no way to actually know. We see a lot of this in the 911 world as prices are approaching half a million and more for some air-cooled 911's people will stop at nothing to cash in.
