89GT, $9K, hmm. It sure looks like a project, but priced right, this could be a good one.

Any GT deserves to, and will be saved... But the economics are questionable today. None-the-less, these cars are rare and eventually will be worth substantial $$$'s in any condition.
That said:
If restored professionally, in todays market, this car is $110,000+ dollars from being a #1 $70,000 car.
If restored by a qualified and knowledgeable enthusiast, this car is ??? $$$'s from being a #2 $50,000 car. (it is super variable because of skills and ability to control costs)
Projected 10 years down the road, it really does not matter because the ten year trend on these cars has been a doubling every four years or so.
With classic Porsches: "You can not pay too much, you can only buy too soon" is an adage worth considering.
So for my popcorn money, this is a great deal (for someone that does not already have a garage full of them and a ten + year timeline for enjoying the car and some decent appreciation).
Enjoy the chase!
P.S. I really need to build that garage...

Here is an 82
with potential. Looks like an original interior with sport seats and a 5 speed. Maybe it’s a “competition package”? I’d be calling on this one if I hadn’t recently blown my budget on a little cancan.
With some ankle biter maintenance; I think this one could be something special! Probably need a closer look at that paint. The guy is asking just shy of 9000, but again, if the price was just negotiated a little lower, this one checks a lot of boxes.

Need help with the right price
Hi - Hoping to get some help with pricing a car.
I'm looking at buying a1988 928 S4 in very good condition. Auto. Guards Red. 82K KM, which is about 55K miles. Everything works. Well serviced. Not tracked. Everything checks out. It's not perfect, but very good and a straight car. Looking for the acceptable price range for this car. Thanks in advance!

the only reason I didn’t buy it was because a certain cancan Prussian splashed into view here, and that was all she wrote for my willpower.

89 GT for sale in Nashville. High mileage and seems to be in rough shape. Don't know what the interior looks like. I've reached out to the owner, but let me know if anyone is really interested and I'll go take a look for you.

if I didn’t already own two project cars; I’d buy this one. GTs are getting to be super rare in any condition.

Good point. During inspection; First check would be for that M28/47 block stamp.
but again; if it’s legit, someone needs to snag this.
Regrettably, I absolutely don’t have room for this car. I just said it again out loud in front of a mirror.

I'm going to check this out at 2PM CDT today. Let me know if anyone wants to talk about it first, and I'll ask some questions for you. It's too big of a project for me, i think.

P.S. It has the jump post cover and rain shield so it can't be all that bad
