Rev. Ronald got back to me today and said he purchased this 85 euro 10 years ago in TX. Stated that it drives fine, leather on dash replaced, (full leather car) took sunroof apart and cleaned, removed the federlized side markers, needs paintwork, and A/C is low. Asking $10K and feel this would be a great project for someone here. I e-mailed back and requested VIN, mileage, maint. history, etc. and will report back T
The pics are of unknown age, because he mentioned that he transported it from Texas to Iowa ~10 years ago with pics showing Iowa plates.
Where is the rear compartment lid?
Nice to have fed markers and rear bumperettes removed.
Needs paint with engine looking somewhat aged, $10k may be a little high.
He sold the red 86.5 auto that he was asking $12k.
Nate, his slate blue '83 looks more promising, but needs some exterior work (paint blemishes) and engine also looking somewhat aged, but the synchros, clutch, and belts were done ~35-40k ago.

^ Thanks Hoi. I was hoping his '83 would be in a little better condition and be without rubbies. Plus is that a manually adjusted passenger seat? The Euro looks ok, especially the seats. Both cars need a top end refresh by the looks of it. I guess the reverend was more fond of his air cooled rides.
Also to add to what Hoi posted above here is the replay I got from The Rev:
"Bought the 83US car from a PCA member in Connecticut about 5 yrs ago when it had 125K miles. Belts, clutch, and syncros were done between 85K and 90K miles over a period of of about a year. I have driven it regularly, but not obviously not every day as I have a few cars - a few too many. The car now and it now has 130K on it. It has always been reliable and probably my favorite 928 because of the manual trans, which makes me a little reluctant to sell it, but something has to go.
Paint is original and in good condition, except for the front bumper which has heavy stone chipping and a place where I cracked the paint by getting too close to the tree in my driveway. Interior is all leather, and pretty good as you can see."
That’s ok Hoi- here is your next car- only about 30 minutes from me so you can crash here when you come to get it. ‘81 Blue manny with sport seats and very good condition interior- low low miles. Actually seems too good to be true. Asking 30k. It’s frighteningly close to me (35 miles) and if I go and see it it’ll be the end of my marriage. But I want someone here to buy it!! https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used...on-d405_L27216
The Rev got back to me regarding the 85 Prussian Blue Euro from post # 6114^^. VIN # WP0ZZZ92ZFS840332 and 76,xxx miles. Said he will try and dig up maint history that I will post here. Just so everyone knows... I am not looking to purchase this or any 928 at this time. T

-triptometer doesnt work, odometer should be (carfax miles at 25,593 in 10/2018, and 25599 now)
-ac doesn’t work
-unknown last wp/tb changes or fuel lines
-sat for 20 years with gas tank drained and fuel pump and filter replaced, but no word on the injectors
-clutch cylinders replaced
-work done by current Ford dealer, whose owned by car owner's friend, who is helping him sell the car
however, the big thing holding me back is the coolant sat in the block for 20 years
-no word if po had distilled water in there or any changes prior to storage over the past 20 years
-last thing, dash’s leather has pulled back pretty badly
So I guess you called about it then. Too bad, I thought this was right in your wheelhouse 1) blue 2) manual 3) no rubs. At least I don’t have to think about it anymore

After talking to some listers, I gave them an offer that I felt is fair considering the BIG UNKNOWN of the engine block, non-working ac, and dash leather problem, but the dealer is trying to get a little more.
Maybe I will be PM ing you soon for a place to stay to pick up this car and drive home (supposedly 6 hrs from Philly)

Steinel’s Autowerks isn’t far away from the location of that car- maybe they could help give the car a once-over if it’s worth it.
