Agree. White '90 GT on BaT that needs $15-20k immediately? Probably $23-25k. $18k with clean title is a steal, regardless about the repaint, rust, etc.
That burgundy interior kills it more than anything else. Mechanical maintenance is the easy part. Can't easily change interior/exterior colors if they are polarizing.

It's the nature of such a thread. I've gone back & reading some of my own posts wondering which car I was commenting on

1990 GT, Grand Prix White over Burgundy. 102K miles

Wow, I didn't expect USD 31'234 either. I personally would have pegged that at USD 16'000 - 19'000 given the condition I perceived the car to be in.
However, I do agree with Hacker's remark. If you really want a specific model, then USD 5'000 - 6'000 extra won't really make a difference once you factor in the all-in costs on a car that you are bringing up to your desired standard. It's what makes guessing prices in a fairly illiquid market so difficult.

Saw that auction, I would’ve figured it would’ve been $30k minimum; it’s a GT. When you’ve got automatic S4’s with over 100k miles selling for over $20k, then you know the market has shifted. This probably pushes the GT’s much further up and probably surpassing many GTS auto’s.
Sucks for me, gonna have to limit my search to early manual transmission cars now. Those are still reasonable

That was big money for a GT with cosmetic issues and 100k miles.
If you are looking for a sorted GT Earl Gilstrom's '90GT is for sale. It is a complete repaint, but it's done right.
