How many miles are on it? I peered at the ODO pic pretty hard and I could swear I saw 259k.

Shawn, I am pretty sure the mileage is accurate, min wear on the car, very original.

Right. That was written when “we” did NOT know that ‘that’ ‘91GT had had a refresh. (Side note: I’m stupefied that the seller didn’t get way out in front by posting in far more detail the extensive maintenance on that one.)

4. "Or are you fine driving it with those issues?"
That-^ was the point. Everyone defines ‘need’ in different ways. I was hoping to get folks to consider the extreme ends of the ‘needs’ spectrum so that they have a better idea of what ‘need’ can mean depending upon who writes it, and to contemplate where their personal definition of ‘need’ lies in that spectrum.

Thanks for the update, Bob. If I had some extra cash laying around I'd be very tempted. This time next year might be a different story.

Default Minerva Blue '82

Really nice 928! One item worth noting is the car saw some salt roads. The undercarriage is just average, the engine bay slightly above average. 928s don't rust apart at all, but the oxidation has affected finishes that should otherwise be quite nice given the low miles.
So the price is just a little bit 'off' given these condition issues.

Says shipping from New York. But seller states he is in Netherlands.
Pretty car though. Love that interior.

Sharks used to be a chance for someone of modest means and some determination to own one of the world's finest cars. It looks like that's going to cease to be the case soon.
I have been discovering that parts prices are an impediment for "people of modest means" to "own one of the world's finest cars". I think a C5 Corvette (of which I own 2) is more practical for that. But the 928 is completely different and deservedly so. How often do you see a Corvette (or a 911 variant) on the road? How often do you see a 928?
