we had a poll Andy and selected a Seiko watch with a 928 style dial face and red hands. Shawn needed a MOQ of 50 and we made that number easy....price is ~$150

Also: if you're a Seiko WIS, you can get just dials (fits 7S26 4 o'clock crown) for $35.

Malcolm - Thanks for the update
Shawn - I have no idea what WIS is but I'd like a 928 watch! Please put me on your list.

Any pics of this new addition?
Merry Christmas

No worries, that fact that you don't know tells me what I need to know. Keep an eye out: I'll start a new thread when the time comes to order.

Bezel options for the Seiko 7s26 diver case, opens up options for watches with a bezel you don't like.

Thank you... I am just a 928 fan who has blazed a path in many areas. Some copied, some not! I just love 928's and try to do cool stuff that we have never seen for our cars even when they were in production to help enhance the model!

Glad to see others appreciate it and emulate it from time to time.

Looking forward to this project... I have always liked Seiko watches so I am looking forward to finding a style that I like that I can put the face in!!!

Seriously. I haven't built a watch in years and I forgot how much fun it is.

Since I have a red Shark, I'm thinking of getting the case cerakoted in red and putting it on a red rubber 'president' strap.

COOL! Make mine Royal Blue and a match for yours... I'm not much on the diver watch bezels though so some other case design for me...

Off topic a little bit, I am TOTALLY jonesing for a BRM right now... They have a black and white one that is really cool and a lime green one that is cool and of course their Union Jack watches are really cool too... Just need to find a spare $4k for one of those! JEEZE!

The case on the left above that Glenn posted is the one I would love to have actually. I really like that look of that...don't need the rotating thing for diving...

I'm leaning towards a diver watch and use the blank bezel.

Are the 7S26 and 7S36 dial sizes different. Found some nice 7S36 divers watches.

It's for the U-boat commanders But you got me wondering if there's a tachymeter available instead--like on a Rolex Daytona.
