Shawn, like Andy, I haven't chimed in yet, but am interested in buying a watch. I'll look for the order thread soon.

Update: The dial design approval was communicated and we're waiting for a 'test dial' to be made for final approval.

We're waiting until Chinese New Year is over. Apparently it's a long holiday, during which nothing happens.

I'll go ahead and ping Harold and see if I can get at least a "I haven't forgotten about you" from him.

After all the discussion I'm not clear on what the final offering(s) are.

Perhaps consider closing this thread and start a fresh new one describing ONLY what is on offer.

I think that's the plan.

Shawn said that he will start a new thread when he will have all the information he needs.
We will be able to order (and pay) then I think.

Exactly right, Bertrand!

When the time comes, it should be exhaustively clear what is available and how to complete the deal.

I'm not so sure what is so difficult about understanding option A, B or C.

A) you get a complete watch, exact specifics not 100% finalized. This is for those not interested in all the other details.

B) you buy a new watch and have the dial installed... custom, but somewhat limited choices. again not 100% finalized yet.

C) you buy just a dial to do with it as you please... sky is the limit, but you are one your own.

I think that pretty much sums it up.

Now to muddy the water a little while keeping the easily confused in a constant state of confusion. I have bid on 30 or so used Seiko divers and have been the second to highest bigger on about 6 so far on Ebay... all in the $60 to $80 range. It's been mentioned, if you know where to look; one can find slightly beat used divers in the $50 range. All I seen sub $60 is "as is" not working. A tips here would be appreciated.

I'll keep bidding and am sure I'll snack one in the next month or two... bidding a little more aggressively as the dial progresses. Also, I'm starting to sway on what I want, after seeing this latest bezel insert. Just for fun, RDK in OKC, would you please paste a dial into the following?

Which is an aftermarket bezel sold on ebay:

Thanks!

Is there something wrong?

It looks great to me. Although I wouldn't mind if the "928" glowed also. But, I'm fine with it as it is.

I think having the 928 glow would off-balance the rest of the face. I like it how it is and cannot wait till I have the money to order one!!!
