I am still in Shawn, and as just expressed above: thanks for all the efforts and the transparency.
Cheers,

Even at $300.00 the watch is still half the price of my original 928 watch, and I could wear this one everyday. $40.00 more is nothing. BTW, will I still be able to purchase a complete ready to wear watch?

I'm determined to deliver something you can strap on and wear!

I'm considering setting up an Amazon wish list with all the compatible watches on it. You order the watch you want and have it delivered to me, then Paypal me for the dial, conversion, and postage. That's two steps, instead of one, but it avoids the potential problem of Amazon shutting me down on a series of orders, and it lets folks order the exact donor watch they want.

Does anyone think that sounds too hard or unreasonable?

Great idea, better for you and everyone can pick the one they want. Direct ship from Amazon.

I purchased a watch for conversion when you first started this thread. I am ready to send it anytime you are ready--just give the word. Thanks for the effort to make this happen.

I am in for the two step process. It sounds great - and it neatly solves a problem for overseas buyers.

I have been watching Amazon for suitable watches (no pun intended), and lo and behold, a heap of them are marked "will ship ONLY to US addresses".

Why that is, I have no idea.

This would work. I was about to suggest a more complicated solution: Make each of us responsible for buying a donor watch and shipping it to you. You'd receive watches bought from ebay, Craig's List, the local pawn shop, Amazon, etc. Some would be the wrong watch. Your choosing the vendor and style makes things much simpler.

Shawn,

The Amazon approach sounds excellent. Simple for you, and for us.

I'm in for this solution as well. But, it should be very clear to everyone exactly what Seiko watch will be required to send to you. It has to be a specific one or the custom dial face WILL NOT WORK.

Is this the watch at Amazon? -
 SEIKO 5 SEIKO 5

Shawn, who will be be doing the conversion to the watches that are sent to you?

Count me in as well. I'm pretty sure I already replied to this but cannot find my reply from this thread. Anyway, one (at least) now ordered to Finland.
