The problem becomes getting the donor watch. If we go with the SNKE51 from Noah, that's one thing; he's a one-stop shop.
Ok. What I kept in the quote above is the way I'd prefer to go.

I'd prefer a "diver" watch, but if you don't go with that, ok.

I'd also prefer a chrono watch, but you've already said that isn't happening, and I'm still here.

What I really want is a cool 928 watch that is priced at a point that I can afford it and would be comfortable wearing on a daily basis (risking damage, loss or theft).

And I'm liking what I am seeing so far. Lay on MacDuff

I'm in for a complete watch if the price is in line with what you all are talking.

These posters are very rare, and the Lithographs are even rarer. It is thought that the distribution of these items was halted by a lawsuit initiated by Porsche. Maxell tapes and Lars Anderson settled with Porsche and agreed to not distribute these prints and posters. Steve Steigman was the photographer however, you will never find these works in his collection; again believed to be a part of the settlement. Steve Steigman died in Oct 2004.

The lithographs are similar to the posters only with a wide band of grey on the top and bottom. Lithographs are on thicker stock than the poster and have no Maxell tape markings. Value of a perfect poster is $1200 and up. It is though that only two Lithographs were accidently distributed in Europe, one in France and one in Germany, and all others were destroyed. Lithographs are valued at over 100K.
I wonder what the images are that you are talking about; and I wonder what this has to do with this thread about watches.

928, car, and ! smaller leaving minute marks all the way around and fits the size of the watch better. Also standard luminous minute and hour hands with red seconds hand.

I personally still like 0, but would be very happy with 4.

I like 4 ... as shown. I think the spoiler detracts from the simplicity of the basic shape, which adequately identifies a 928 of any model.

I agree. I think the spoiler looks out of place. If I could touch it I'd be trying to wipe it off thinking it wasn't supposed to be there.

#4 will work perfect. The smaller 928 numbers & ! look much better. The silhouette can work either way.

Shawn we will have the option to purchase both a completed watch at $155 & additional dials at $35 for future watch projects, yes?

Any thought of a Porsche crest needs to be dead in the water. No more further consideration. Why risk the potential hassle of Porsche finding out & issuing a cease & desist? Then we either have to start over, wasting the time expended up to then, and potentially any of our monies already spent. Or worse, screw the pooch on the whole project if Porsche's lawyers find they are slack on work & want to push the whole project into a legal tangle. Too many examples already given of how aggressively they pursue use of their rights, or perceived rights, to their logos, trademark, etc. If they went after PCA then no telling what they might consider if they are rubbed the wrong way by it. I want another 928 watch. I want it soon. I don't want to be wondering if it will be squashed by corporate huns at Porsche who could have us looking over our shoulders while things are in process, or afterwards for those who put this together.

For those wanting a Porsche logo on their watch, here's a suggestion. Get a dial & buy some model car decals of a Porsche logo. Possibly in a model kit of a Porsche if you can't find the decals by themselves in an appropriate size. Then you can just place it above the silhouette of the car, perfect place for it. Might be a bit cluttered, but you still get your Porsche logo. Here's some listed on Ebay for $11, not sure how the 1/43 scale may fit or not; they make em for 1/18 scale too: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Colorado-Dec...item53f4f4fb7a

And the corporate 25th anniversary version…

Like the kind of watch you get for 25 years of service as opposed to the gold watch when you retire.
