Default How about another run of watches..?

I can get dials made for the Seiko 7s26 automatic movement for $35 each in a batch of 50 pieces.

It could be a rerun of these:

Or something else, like a tachometer.

For those unfamiliar with the 7S26: it is the small-block Chevy of watch movements. It is well-engineered, rugged as hell, and Seiko has put it in untold numbers of watches. I have several custom watches built from the 7S26 and you can't kill it. The 7S26 movement is featured in almost any kind of case you could ask for. It would just have to be a 7S26 case with a 4 o'clock stem (not a 3 o'clock stem). These watch cases will all take this dial:

It would have to be a different face...

As much as you dont want others taking your image to make other watches..we'd appreciate not using the image on our 100 watches, for others as well.

Thought I read on the other watch thread James stating his watch face should NOT be copied.

There are over 100 pages in that thread, so I didn't read through them all. I didn't realize there would be an issue with copyrights.

Not a problem. Absolutely nothing is written in stone at this point. The dial options are literally wide open: what would you like that isn't the previous design?

I don't have a number on completed watches as this point. I may only be able to get completed watches in the Seiko 5 case:

My gut is around $100 with your choice of hands.

Optionally, the dial alone would be available, and it is ridiculously easy to find a case you like on eBay for less than $100, and get one of the many shops specializing in custom watches to assemble everything for a very reasonable fee. I think all told you'd be looking at a maximum of $200 for a full-on diver with a stainless steel bracelet. If you want to go totally nuts, you can get cases bead-blasted, highly polished, or even coated to pretty much any color.

Here's a custom Seiko shop that's done a lot of different things, including plenty of ceramic coating: http://www.motorcitywatchworks.com/work.html

I'd highlight the 9 and 2 and 8.... make the background the 928 tach... and have the "!" in there.... perhaps an outline of a 928 too?... all generic non-copyrightable images... ....

you can leave the made in Germany out though since the movements are Japanese

Okay, the first quote for completed watches in the Seiko 5 case is $155.

For my money, I'd do a custom diver based on a used watch off eBay.

Why not buy one of the ones that are still available from Valencia? Well I don't see them on their site, but I'm pretty a call to Chris, would get you one.

At 155$ I would be in for one.

Now we need to work on a dial.

Would it be possible for you to have different dials made?
Maybe with S, S4, GTS inscription?

Just asking.

you can leave the made in Germany out though
Or you could pull an age-old cheap overseas production trick, and have it say "Made in Gernamy"

Fair question. The quote was for a run of 50 identical dials, so: no. Sorry.

I did the artwork for the limited edition watch. Give me the dimensions, case design, etc and I would be happy to work up designs and do the final art to send off for a couple of free watches.

From the different case pictures posted i don't know what a Seiko 5 case is.

What are the dimensions of the dial, hands, day/date window, etc.?

Do you have hands to choose from, or are they custom made?

Do you want Seiko Automatic on the face?

At that price, I'd be in. I'd prefer a diver with a count-down bezel (rather than an elapsed time bezel).
