I am in the process of finishing a wp/tb replacement along with a top end refresh. Today I assembled the cold air intake ( new powder coat) and started to install the gts mirrors. I got the passenger side all done and pulled the old flag on he driverside. What a difference they make, I can't wait to get her out an get some finished shots. Hopefully I'll get everything buttoned up manana. The only thing I'm waiting on is the return of my Vortech SC. Out of the box it had some bearing chatter so sent it back. They have been great, very responsive, are replacing all the bearings under warranty ( of course). Hopefully it shipped out fri. and I'll have by the end of the week. Oh yeah I also replaced the power steering lines/res., vac lines, caps/rotors etc., and I don't even know what else (it all seems like a blur), I've been gathering parts for a year. God help me when I fire her up, If she doesn't go I don't know where to even start looking!

Today I vacuumed the passenger's side floors and worked on the headliner.

Custom headliner - Will install a BMW interior/overhead lighting cluster in the raised cutout near the visor. It'll be installed at a slightly different angle than on the Bimmer, b/c it sits farther back from the dash on the Shark. There are pink LED strips behind the enclosures on each side.
The interior colors will match that of my 740i - black dash and below, light grey above - headliner/ A-pillars. The more I think about it being finished, the more excited I get.

Default Finished cleaning ready to replace rubbers

Finished cleaning down the engine and started putting together all the new bits I bought from Roger. Organ pipes are away being stripped and painted. Have done a test wiring repair.

Has Dwayne or someone done a repair thread for the wiring harness?

Regards

Today I replaced fuse #40 and fuse #41, after checking the bulbs on that circuit. With that, all of the running lights on my early ’86 S are now functioning, and so is everything else.

It took from the day I bought it – April 9, 2006 – all the way to today, a mere 1,906 days, but everything – E V E R Y T H I N G – now works as intended on this car. It still needs a bit of cosmetic looking after but it all works.

Thanks to Rennlisters everywhere and especially the 928 forum, the great, great James, the vendors far and wide.

Today I put the hood emblem back on after discovering it only had one quick nut holding it on.It's the small things in life that can bring joy, and it doesn't get much smaller in the 928 world than this.

Painted the stripe on the spider and installed a colored hood badge to the top.

Ordered my Y pipe, short shift kit, Momo shift **** and boot, and Jager Engineering Carbon Fiber Dash Kit. Hopefully it gets here soon so I can get it installed sometime next week

After all this will probably update the wheel to a different MOMO. Oh, and almost forgot installed LED to the POD switches...what a difference

Next will be refinish the seats, new rear trunk carpet and front mats....then take a break for a while.

Figured the fuel filter in my parts bin had been there long enought (10 years) so installed it.

Rebuilt the short line from the filter.

And put a proper FI clamp on the line to the accumlator. Line seemed in very good shape.

No leaks, so blasted to the store for something to BBQ.
