Removed the center console. Lots of headbanging due to electrical spaghetti! Thank PO!

Looking for a wire diagram online. My manuals are somewhere in a box after my move.

Also wonder what the (blocked off) vacuum hose under the console is suppose to do / be connected to.

Car is a '87 Auto

I disinterred my '79 today, a lovely spring day here in South Australia.... perhaps disinterred is the wrong term, I jump started it and took it for a brisk squirt up the road !

I don't use it at all, it just sits around deteriorating, just occasionally I crank it into life and give it a caneing. Damn, I couldn't part with it, it just goes so hard and the original Porsche engineering is just so fine there is no vehicle I can image I'd rather have.....

Finished putting the new blower motor into the old (modified) housing. It's smooth and quiet at all speeds! And the A/C blows ice cold!

Got the hood back on and aligned (by myself).

Put the new plate on (PA custom plate: "FLD ARTY").

Drove to work.

Had a coolant light come on last night on the way to the PCA Social. Replaced the radiator cap $6 at O'RIELLY Auto Parts this morning and I'm back on the road. Who said these cars were expensive to repair?

I found where my brake fluid is magically going...

The rear bias valve is wet..and everything in front of it and down is wet..hrmmm....

And the brake pad light came on...S'ok, Sunday is brake day..and the belt tension light is on in the cold mornings now..check that on Sunday too.

It's about 1300 quid in the uk. Well worth it as far as I'm concerned - looks the business and works brilliantly.

Replaced passenger side rear axle boots. Followed Dwayne's excellent writeup without incident. My chief take away is messy messy messy but not a tough job. CV wear point signs were barely visible.

Hopefully, all set to roll to Frenzy next weekend.

Fitted a new Fuel pump check valve, ( hot starting issue ) could,nt drive the car so warmed it up to temp, switch off let it stand an hour, and she fired right up with no throttle, looking good so far., but a good run then a shut down for an hour will confirm.

After another 30 mile drive, I had to put it up to do a oil change on the Tacoma.

Cried a bit as I now know I need to have the trans rebuilt because the torque converter committed suicide.

Tested the ignition coil resistors. Tested good. On to the next step. Verify fuel is getting through the injectors. Gotta love P-cars!!!!

Front brakes on the 87
MAF on the 85

Stared sharply at the brake fluid seeping from the front of the rear bias valve on the 87.

VERY...sharply.
