Just bought the 85.
Today- checked belt tension and it was perfect. Checked all fluids added new coolant.
Fixed sunroof hinge. And put about 45 miles on the rubber round deals. I. Love. This. Car.
Today I removed a rounded brake caliper retaining bolt. Drilled, ground a slot, impact wrenched out. 4 new M12 x 70mm 1.5P high tensile Allen bolts fitted.
1off 100 jobs done.
Had a toughy today. Thought I'd tackle the rear wiper. Flipped the cover up off the control arm pivot...nut was just lying there...hmmmm...tighten it down after inspecting things...works great. Big fix for the day...but hey...ever once in a while you need a given.
Now, I'm looking forward to seeing a little rain.
Fixed the blower motor control speeds yesterday...just a relay.
I'm on a roll...but I better stop while I'm ahead.

I just finished installing replacement used horns. Both horns decided not to work and I was putting off the repair vaguely until some meathead drifted into my lane a couple of days ago and I could not honk. Adjacent lane was clear so a side swipe was avoided.
In retrospect, I'm pretty sure one of the horns was dead when I picked her up 5 years ago because the horn sound has been anemic on the best of days. The second horn finally gave up.
In diagnosing the failure I started with confirming the steering wheel switch functioned. This was confirmed by an audible relay clicking in the electrical panel. I then confirmed DC voltage at horn wires. A 12 VDC battery was then placed against each failed horn and not a sound was uttered. I expected to hear a horn blast but it turns out that's not how it works.
I tested each replacement horn on the 12 VDC battery and heard an energetic click but not a honk. Called up one of my EE buddies and he said there is probably an amplifier between the relay and horn. Whatever. I connected the newly arrived horns and both work as expected. So I guess there is some kind of horn frequency signal riding on the 12 VDC horn power. I learn something new everyday.
Went from 180 to around 158 in the last four years after new shocks installation/OP. springs.
I noticed Stan's car at Hershey looked as low as my car. He reported he'd set ride height about 170 (I think) some years ago. I'm at 152+/- 1 mm up front. 165 rear. I can adjust rear fine. Front adjusters are stuck and spinning on the nubs on the shocks. Not done trying to free them, but prepared to remove shocks and springs.
Today I did something I should do more often...I washed the car. Then took it for a drive. It is in the high 50s to low 60s. In this kind of weather the car always feels stronger.
Looks so shiny now.
