New drivers side upper window guide/seal....the one that goes around the top of the door frame (suck job).
New throttle cable (not as sucky)...what sucked was trying to regulate throttle with my tied-together shoe-strings through the partially open hood so I didn't have to tow it home
See? Now that's a good story! shoe strings! Ha!
Saw my own throttle cable gettin' a little bent last week and asked Sean to replace it for me (normally nobody works on my car but me...but Sean's Ok...I guess).
Looking at yer ride in the avatar there...nice cruise, looks like ya may be having a bumper issue though...just sayin'.
Collected the GTS from body shop. Rear windows re-fitted correctly as trim sitting proud, several small corrosion bubbles around windscreen repaired, new lower window seals on both sides and rear bumper repainted.

Busted every screw on the front left fog light trying to remove it, after it got a hole put in it in a car park a couple of weeks ago. As far as I can see, the fog lights have never been removed on the car.
So I ended up repairing the grey plastic housing for the light.
Drilled out all the rusted-in screw shanks - one of the longer tabs broke off with the stress of drilling, so I fab'ed an aluminium tab which is securely mounted through the plastic, preserving the water-tight seal on the units.
For the 3 holes I drilled out, I drilled to 4mm, and then epoxied stainless nuts on the rear side. Fits perfectly.
Looks a little ugly on the rear - but I wanted to make sure it was solid and wasn't going to break.
Picked up a cylinder or propane for the torch, heated a flat-blade screw driver and removed the broken off piece of the radiator plug. Then easily removed the two engine block drain plugs. Found copper anti-seize on the plug threads (well done PO). Nice flushing flow resulted and no sediment note. Very pleased. Next comes removing the hoses from the water bridge and thermostat and removing the water bridge.
Put new oil dipstick in.,...the old one was the original...the new one was only 23 bucks from our friends in California, had a nice extended handle (I was soooo sick of burning myself on that upper rad hose!) and a nice o-ring for sealing...
!
I just completed my engine oil change as well as the differential and 5 speed transmission oil. I used Shell Rotella 15w 40 in the engine and Mobile 1 75w90LS synthetic in the transaxle. Since I finished the timing belt a few weeks ago, I have put about 20 miles on the car. Everything seems great so far (This was my first WP/TB change), no leaks. I used the PKT Tensioner and I am hopeful it works as expected.
Installed new PowerBass amp in lower shelf on passenger side, Kenwood X998 Exelon head unit and Kimber Kable wires to connect to Hans speakers. Incredible great fildelity now!
...Gave a stern look square in the headlights after the driver of an incredibly well preserved M5, 1985 I would guess, stopped in the middle of the road and came running after me offering to buy...
Took the family for a drive (and fill the tank with fresh gas) in the Shenandoah Valley. New motor mounts and trans mounts make a very noticeable difference in smoothness and quietness (perhaps most notable in lack of vibration in the gas pedal). First drive after more than 2 months on stands. Battery tender did it's job -- started right up. Then back home and enjoying seeing it parked on all fours.
