Yesterday I removed the CE in my Gold 86.5 (the Onion) and it lived up to it's name, another layer removed and more stink ![ooops](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon501.gif)
I'll be replacing that front wiring harness next as I did w/the rear one, I have no idea what under all that tape but do see melted wires going into it.![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Anyone know what that silver box below the Leaking Heater core is![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)
Edit: per grid locator it's the Cruse Control
Thank you,
Dave

I watched my 87 5spd leave the driveway and disappear from view.. I'm doing school duty as my wife's on a training course all day, so she took a 928

Installed Hans' front speakers ; very pleased with the result to add to the Blaupunkt Toronto & sub install recently. You can get a lot of sound for not much money these days.

Replaced front fuel line and ATF cooler lines. No more ATF drips in garage. Used ATF line kit from Roger. Bought the crimping tool too, its available for loan if anyone needs it. Worked great, much better than regular hose clamps. Replaced hood shocks. No more random hood drops on head.

Found the source of a very annoying but minor coolant leak. It was a pin hole in the lower radiator hose caused by rubbing on the PS belt.
I fixed the rubbing problem with a strap rigged below the new 928 Motorsports aluminum rad, but the hose finally started to leak through the weak point.
Roger already sent me a hose, hopefully it shows up today.

Got my front end parts back from the powder coater. I was changing out my aluminium ball joints and one thing led to another...

Hooked up the battery tender and fired up the kerosene heater in the garage. Down to 9 (F) degrees last night, expecting 3 degrees tonight. Will put the car up on stands. This time it's new trans mounts and replacing the water bridge gaskets, thermostat, and oil filler neck gasket. Probably will just keep going and replace cam cover gaskets and all the associated little circular rubber bits (have the full kit).
