Installed Greg Brown oil cooling lines that I got from 928 Int. Perfect. In every way. There is no substitution for what he makes. I wasted a day trying to find someone local to rebuild them. Should have known better.
Started running new replacement speaker wires for the door speakers to bypass the fader, and whilst I had the door skins off;
1.replaced the speakers with new ones a'la Hans (Thanks Hans).
2. installated the new door stays both sides
3. replaced the old window control switches in drivers door.
Funny how one job usually turns into 5 or 6. Anyway, simple but fairly satisfying work.
OH, and nearly forgot, opened up my new set of carpets I got from Robb Budd (via Paul Jager). I'm going to enjoy taking the old set out and replacing with a fresh set. I wonder what joys I will encounter during that exercise.
Started installing leather steering wheel kit courtesy Robb Budd. Didn't finish though- and had to backtrack -as something seemed off... AND, I didn't have a long enough thread um... threaded!
Trying again Friday/Saturday so I am done in time for local PCA gathering...
Represented at Tulsa's Caffeine & Gasoline - I had the only 928 there. Porsche was the featured marque this month. Found the new Turbo S to be very tempting.
After Laura's Car Show (where we all came out to judge a single black Camry)...
I rushed home to finish my windscreen washer project...
where I removed the old pump, and wiring, and relocated a new universal pump with all new hoses and wires...cleaned nozzles, ran new hoses to them though a new hood closeout, took care of all fittings and check valves.
Then, I trimmed the inner lip of the front fenders, I feel like leaving a bit of the 90 degree angle on the fender opening will be stronger than rolling, with no risk of burning, or cracking paint...and I had the tools to do it right now.
After that, I made a new inner fender closeout from Kydex 100...

I used my car for the first time in three months but only as a pickup truck, taking a dead TV to the tip. Oh the shame!
Interestingly there was a weighbridge at the tip, and it registered 1760kg, which came down to 1543kg (3400Lbs) after taking off the weight of the TV and the occupants (the fuel tank was all but empty).
One thing I am trying to do today is change the sunroof switch. My tablet does not let me search so can someone help me with removal. I have had the windows switches replaced so I have done the job but if someone can give me a quick removal guide I would really appreciate it.
