Did a full exterior paint clean and seal. Car has been somewhat neglected since the Great Migration from SoCal in June, plus the contractor rolled it out of the garage here in the few weeks before we officially 'moved', and it got sprinkled and pine-tar speckled while it sat out. I cleaned the pine tar speckles off right away when we got here, but it's waited until now to do all the rest of the job. Interior still neeeds similar attention, but at least it's clean enough to use the cover now. Took it for a short 50-mile tour south before I dusted it and parked it. It's not wintah yet but the car is ready.

Got the windshield washers working on mine. I don't think they had sprayed fluid in 10 years! Going to have to get a replacement 1 way valve on the drivers side, or just leave the vacuum elbow I put in there in.

Removed the aux air valve to check its operation. After testing and repair, I have an increased idle with cold start @ 1200 rpm and 750 rpm when the valve fully closes.
Removed power to the idle switch which cured a throttle lag when revving the engine. I used to have a slight delay in the return to idle rpm, not quite dying, just a delay. Now without the idle switching have very smooth throttle response and no lag.

Picture shows what appears to be an S4+ car with rear wing removed. Or is it an earlier car with S4 bumper cover and lights? If it is an S4, you have both 7" front wheels on the right side. Should have 8" on the rears.

Started on the Stepson's cam carrier gasket replacement. This is a MUCH bigger job than I remember from the previous job on the Jalapeno. Of course, the Jalapeno's gaskets were replaced during a tech session in my garage with no shortage of willing participants to turn wrenches. This time, I'm doing the gasket change in BradW's shop which is an extreme upgrade in working locations.
I have both cam carriers off and now need to clean the old gaskets off. This is not fun.

Dr. Bob... It is a 87 928s4... didn't have the spoiler on it when I got it. I just through the rims on it to get it out of the guys yard I bought it from. Will correct that, thank you for the info.
