I especially like the snake tongue sticking out from under the hood. Good luck. We're all counting on you.

Looks like an S4 with an early front clip, probably including at least the driver's door, which doesn't fit very well.

Someone spent a good deal of $$ putting rear quarters and S4 bumper on this early car.

They could be modified / cut rear quarters, like Jean-Louis did on his 84 Euro race car:

Great find! A wash and a little cleaning will make that one a show-stopper. Maybe a little more cleaning... Your $350 initial investment is merely the down-payment on the sales tax part of resto and ownership though. Post more details about the car and how you found it. And share your progress as you bring it back to life. Many of us live vicariously through the efforts and experiences of others. Looking forward to your project!

And welcome to the cult!

Hatch at least is 86-up, going by the brake light.

Might be a '86.5 rear lift point there. Or mud.

Sorry for not posting more info...was falling asleep. 1987 928S4... found an ad on craigslist for a "1985 928" no price, no pictures. I got a number and texted this person for about a hour. Come to find out it was the owners 15 year old son. After speaking with the owner I found out he was about 15 minutes from my house. I went to go see this "85 928S4". I got there and the pictures are what I found. The VIN showed it was a 1987 S4. So we talked price, he said he was looking for "4". I thought he meant $4000. So we knew so people in common and bull****ted a little more. I said I was looking for something a lot cheaper. He said I will take three hundred... I said look I got $200 in my pocket, we shook on it. Deal done!!!
