Wife out with the girls. Decided I had the time to install a Greg Brown fuel line between the regulator and the dampener. With things cleared, I saw now saw the particulars of the other line I need.

Default Taking the shark for a swim

Took BIG BLUE-83 out for a swim on Rt-206 today, from Mt.Holly south to Hammonton in N.J. Nice road, long sweeping curves, smoothe blacktop, a passing lane every few miles, about 80 miles down and back. I could run this road at 110mph if the troopers were all asleep. Anyway, during my cruse my rear license plate fell off!! A guy in an F-150 pulls up to me at a light and says "your rear plate flew off about a mile back",so I turn around and go looking for it. Sure enough there it is laying in the middle of the road. The whole license plate bracket fell off!! Picked it up realized I had no tools on me! I pulled into a radiator repair shop to borrow a screwdriver and everybody came out to look at the shark. "is that really a PORSCHE??" "Cool Car" and other likewise comments. (Pineys are motor-heads at hart) I got the standard question -" what 'ill it do in the quarter?" I told them 3rd gear!! Put the plate back on, talked cars for a while and then took 'er back home. All in all a good 90 minutes in the shark. What do I like about my 928 euro?-driving it and working on it, what do I not like- working on it and NOT driving it. ---" Some Sharks do 150, and some do 149, If I can make mine run at all I think I'm doing fine

Default Arranged a playdate for 545svk

Had a friend over for 545svk and compared details - lots of questions to ask the group!

In my ongoing challenge of getting AC functioning reliably I replaced the Low Pressure Sensor/switch which was not working. I had no pressure in the lines yet the compressor would still engage - not good. While I was in there, I replaced the High pressure sensor/switch and the dryer canister. Not too bad of a job. I had to get the front louvre flaps to a fully closed position so I could access the dryer bracket. I did this by starting a cold engine which closes the louvres and then unplugged the power connector. By default the louvres move to an open position when engine is turned of.

Next up is figuring out where the leak is. Should have things sorted out by end of Summer.

Left it parked at Fresh N easy after it wouldn't start this AM.

My usual intermittent gremlin...injectors not firing while cranking. My dad went back tonight and it started right up and he drove it home for me.

Happy Fathers day!!

Relay, relay, relay ? Does the tach flicker when cranking with a no start ? The kick down relay is also across that rpm feed between EZK and LH pin 1

Drove my car for 200 miles after fitting a new front spoiler...

Dropped mine off at the paint shop. Will take between 6 to 8 weeks to complete. They priced it to fill in gaps of off time....which is why it's 8 weeks. No problem since my interior leadtime is 6 weeks as well.

First lengthy drive with the 'new' transmission. 600 miles one way to NYC. Easy cruising with some high speed runs in Northern Maine I 95 at 0500 hrs (130+mph). In more urban areas shifted flawlessly and was able to kickdown or manually downshift for some aggressive maneuvering. Then 600 miles back home 48 hrs. later and car was flawless. Not a drip of oil/coolant/atf.

So I've been working through issues and getting the car back up to par...PO had her sitting for like 6-7 years...so its been 8 months new TB/WP and top refresh...still dealing with a not so linear 0-40mph..but I felt confident so I took my 1st over an hr away drive...I usually go up to Wisc. and find some fun roads to cruze...but this time took a father daughter drive...she just turned 10 and had to get to Lansing MI about 280 miles from home...(for her gymnastic camp)so we packed the 928 with all her valuables...weekend bag,Kindle Fire blanky and pillow...I have to say I love this car unlike my 951 everything just fit perfect and was just so smooth..not knocking the 951,this one is just a better fit..so we left about 10PM...as my A/C's not fixed yet and I didn't want to drive in the hot sun...as my sunroof motor is sticking a tad...these are must do's on my list..also added to list center console lights, haven't driven her much at night but after this trip a must fix...car just cruzed from 70-85 all the way there no issues really nice...and between one quick pit stop for my daughter and getting to the hotel we got 3 compliments and 2 wow what year is that...all in all a great little trip,I look forward to many more...Oh and my daughter said she loves it because it looks like a space ship, she doesn't have to hear the BOV..swoosh and it just rides smoother dad....

Lost all audio from amplifier. Radio works(ed) fine and indicated sound output. After long, and tedious, dissection and searching issue was loss of power to amplifier from its connection at the battery. PO had used various sized washers between the few eyelet connectors on the post. The one adjacent to the eyelet for the amplifier was way to small for the eyelet. Reconnected things and power, and sound, returned.
