I "patted" mine on the plastic sheet I have in place of the hood, and told her it will be alright...I'll save her...

Then walked away to go to work....

Fired her up after her winter slumber, took her out on the interstate to stretch her legs and got her inspected.

She is a monster......... still!

Since I'm stuck working in New Mexico, I'm sending my freind of 40 years to Arizona to pick up the replacement for my 87 that was wrecked on 3/19 of this year. It's a well known 89, and was owned by a member of this forum.

I won't be able to see it till I get home next month. I'll post some pictures after my friend gets it home to Vegas.

Set my cam timing. Thank you's to Stefan and Bill for guiding me through it. Thanks to Ken (Porken) for inventing the tools and cam wrench.

Restored a missing chunk of the black rubber-like plastic shell that Porsche used to top the yellow foam in the driver's footwell so that I could adhere additional sound barrier and then the carpet piece.

Went from this:

to this with several layers of truck bed sealer:

Once that had dried, it served as a good base for the extra deadener:

and then the carpet.
