Congratulations Ed! What an awesome project and very much appreciated by our 928 community.

Dwayne, so it looks like you'll be coming through Phoenix. Maybe stop over the first night? If so, I'm sure we can get the "AZ Desert Gang" to arrange a "meeting"

This is probably going to be one of the biggest contributions I've seen to the 928 community as a whole. Best of luck with the tirp/project and I cannot wait to read about the progress and see the finished car! Bravo!

THANKS for the offers of support along the journey back East. A BIG THANKS to Ed for taking on this project to preserve/restore a significant part of Porsche 928 history!!

Now that a route has been selected, I'll be working on a schedule of when I expect to be at various locations. I'll get these posted as soon as possible so folks can offer ideas on stops for photo ops and to see the car before the transformation. Stand by.....

Best wishes on the trip Dwayne! If you come back the northern route, you've got a place with us, as you know.
Also, as this car comes back to life as the historic car it is, let me know if there is a "hat" into which contributions can be made - I'd like to somehow be at least a small part of this!

Dwayne just can't resist a cross-country 928 trip, even if the 928 is on a trailer.

Go Dwayne!

Is there another car on the planet that has been through more? The 5th phase of its life is just about to begin. Ed, my hats off to you for taking on the project. The car has had such a profound effect on the 928 community. I'm glad the car and spirit will be able to live on!

Great adventure, Dwayne. And Ed, having seen the stripped shell you definitely have your work cut out for you. Big kudos for an amazing commitment to 928 history.

Somewhere Al Hobert is looking on, smiling and nodding with a thumbs up, not unlike many here in this forum. Ed, thank you, Dwayne you are magnanimous. Great 928 "Carma" headed your way guys.

Question...do you happen to have a heated garage, can'ts stand wrenching in the cold.

PM me when you get the car and you're ready to get started.

Thanks for the enthusiastic offer.I got heat and air conditioned shop, tools, lifts, and all kinds of impliments of destruction, but most importantly a big fridge full of beer!

There are also good photo ops, I can see the flatbed rolling down the freeway with 6 or 7 928 escorts from site to site.

Would make a killer article for hemmings sports & exotic, I'd think!
