RKD is correct... We were initially told that they would have the prototype face for us back in Sept. Maybe they did have it ready by then even (who knows) but there was a back order of the swiss movements and cases so it was delayed, and delayed and delayed...

All the money has been paid up front for this!!!! Thank you Chris! He is out many, many THOUSANDS of dollars on this and has been for a VERY, VERY LONG TIME! They would not even start the tooling on the prototype w/o payment upfront! That gives you some idea of how much Chris trusts these folks. As he has said himself he has sold thousands of their watches and has (probably) all the standard models that Laco makes in his stores. They like him and he likes them.

As RKD noted IF the prototype is just right and needs no changes all Chris has to do is say "GO AHEAD". He will in fact call them the moment he sees the watch as he will know immediately if it is "RIGHT" for us. If it is a go, Laco swears they can get all the preorders done before the end of the year. That is all we can go on, but history says that might be a bit optimistic on their part.

My fingers are crossed that Chris sees it on Monday and that is looks GREAT and that by Christmas we are all wearing our new, AWESOME, custom 928 Limited Edition watches!

Watch (pun intended) this space for more info from Chris VERY SOON!

Chris has been hitting update on his UPS tracking URL every 3 hours... TOMORROW looks to be the updated info from UPS as of 20 min ago! Looks like Chris will have ANOTHER sleepless night tonight! LOL! Poor guy! He is going to be on the ragged edge by the time our watch shows up!

He will probably look at it, take a couple of pics and go to bed for 2 days to catch up! LOL!

Ok gang, here are some amateur photographs of the watch.
I have not seen the watch in person yet. I will see it and photograph it tomorrow.
But these pics should be enough for today.
The exclamation point is upside down, they are aware of it and noted it but wanted to ship the watch without having me wait any longer!!

I will post pics tomorrow with the custom strap.

So there ya have it, the 928 Prototype is real.

For the record, whoever sent me those 7 nasty emails (all different IP's) saying I was full of chit and this watch doesn't exist and wouldn't exist (I am making it much nicer than the emails), do me a favor and step forward.
I will make sure you don't get a watch

This prototype will be the Error piece (like coins that have errors and sell for toms of money )

I am happy to be posting pics of the watch and not my coffin!

Stunning! Thanks for the great shots Chris!

BTW, any chance you can pose the proto next to a regular watch or perhaps on your wrist so that we can get an idea of how "hefty" the case really is? Thanks!
