I'm late to the party but interested....if its not too late.....i prefer stainless bracelets but this is unique.....so its a swiss auto movement and water proof/resistant?.....don't mind the softer colors and 'patina' of our 20 plus year old cars.

both and only leather bands, but Chris might be able to source a SS bracelet for the watch. I have not seen any like that but there is bound to be something out there he has seen that would work.
Correct on the swiss auto movement and water resistance to 5atm I think it is...don't get me lying on that last part though.

My wife is getting this for me for my 40th birthday, and she just looked at the prototype. She thinks the original photoshop version with the red hands and redline looks better than the orange glow prototype version. I agree, and don't mind waiting longer (past my birthday in January) if that's what it takes. So much time is already invested, lets get it right rather than rush just to make it available by Christmas. I don't need glow in the dark for what its worth. I appreciate the open discussion, and credit James and Chris for considering all the input.

Thoughs...
If they can do redder glowing hands I wouldn't have a problem with the redline marks being the same glow as the hands. And I wouldn't mind a red glow that didn't last as long (glow time). It would be better than no glow or white hands with no glow red box/redline marks.
Also I did send artwork for the Red Box and "!" with the "!" cut out of the box which would mean if they did the separation correctly the "!" would not be being printed "on top of the red." If there needs to be a wee bit of space between the "!" and the red box it is in, that would be okay. To look the best the red box, redline marks, hands, AND strap stitching need to all three be the same color.
I would be happy to provide any additional artwork necessary.

RKD, I agree... if you recall we were trying to get closer to what early S4's, S's and OB's have going on (which is a red light/button and orangish red needles and "redline" marks)... That was kind of why we went 3 colors. In the real world the reds would have been so close not to have mattered much. In the world of Super-lumi that seems not to be the case though...
You can see on Chris' sample of the superlumi that they just don't really have anything RED on there... At the very least the "button" should match the "redline" marks and those will match the band... the hands...well, looks like that is the problem area.
I love it either way though personally...and would take it AS IS or with some/all of the changes discussed.

Hi All,
I have had my name down since near the beginning and have (honestly!) read every post in this thread. Here are my thoughts:
Cheers,
Willber
#59 - 50th birthday present to myself - 49th was the S4!
I have had my name down since near the beginning and have (honestly!) read every post in this thread. Here are my thoughts:
- I prefer the colours in the mock-up
- I am more interested in matching these colours than in lume
- If anything must be lume then it is the hands - eveything else can be interpreted
- Some aspect of the face must match the stitching of the strap - I suggest red line and "!" surround
- Getting this right is more important than getting this now
- I will buy this watch whatever it turns out to be
Cheers,
Willber

Here is an update:
1) They are sourcing Red SuperLumi.
2) Hands and the Redline will be the same color, just waiting for an image of it glowing and not glowing. The redish one I have seen glowed pink (not nice). Want to make sure it's not the same.
3) Second hand will be BLACK with the white tip.
4) Also checking if they can do the Exclamation background with the same Red Super Lumi they are going to show me.
Semi good news, in the mean time, I am enjoying looking at the prototype.
Again, remember, this is why it's a prototype and not the production model

Chris, I completely understand the prototype process, and am used to things not turning out like originally planned. Hope I don't seem to harsh in my suggestions. Not trying to criticize or make little of what has been accomplished so far, just trying to help make the final production watch the best it can be.
Glad to hear they are looking for a redder superlumi. I would be okay with a pinkish glow if the daylight color is more red. To me it is more important how it looks in daylight than when glowing. I'm betting I will be showing it off a LOT more in daylight than in the dark.
Also hope they can use the separations to make the red box the same as the redlines and hands. Again, I would be happy to provide more artwork.
And don't forget the band stitching.
