Got my rear wheels on and they look great. My 18x8"ers are in the mail than I will get those on and take pictures. I'm quite pleased with the quality of the rims for the price. One of them had a small nick but at this price I can't complain.

I might have a source on the 18x8" rims if others need them. I'lll get the details and let you guys know. Don't expect a $51 per wheel price like discount but they should be under $100.

Rod,
I posted this info a few posts back. The size on the rear is 265/30/18 and the fronts will be 225/40/18. These are Fuzion ZRi tires.

Dan please keep me posted on the 8" rims. Any idea when you'll know something on them? Jason

Sorry, must be a senior moment. Dio you have extra room that might allow a larger tire sorry if I missed that as well.
Thanks

Default Max rear tire sizes.

Now that the dust has cleared, unlike me, I assume someone has actually gotten tires for these nice wheels. What have you found to be the "largest rear tires" for the 10in. wheels without any modifications? Please indicate model year as well, I'm looking at them for 82, 87, and/or 90.

The largest I've read is 295, but it has never been clear that this is without mods.

I tried the 10in.on the front without tires the other night and while they cleared when I ran the steering wheel from side to side, they look like the tires would hit the fenders. Anyone used the 10's on the front?

Inquiring minds want to know. I probably won't need tires for a good while, but if I run across a good price, I might go ahead and just stack them.

Typically, a 275/285 tire is the widest recommended for a 10" wheel from the tire manufacturer. Most makers will have a recommended rim width range for each of their tires.

Further, I think the widest you can fit without any rolling/flaring is about 285 provided you have the ideal offsets. Some claim they can do a 295, but I don't see how it's possible.

I'm surprised that I haven't been hearing screaming tires clear down here in Indiana.

It's done.

Edit: Woops, didn't see the additional responses. The reason you don't hear tires is that I'm waiting for a dry day to actually drive the SOB out of the garage for a nice little run. Maybe this weekend... maybe.

If anybody decides that they want to repaint these wheels, just scuff and paint or send them out to be media blasted. There is so much paint and filler on them that it's not worth the labor to strip them yourself.
