Yes, you are. You're lucky you weren't in the car later at the Pony Express after I got the second set of Konis and nearly went off the road in a severe undulating wallow entering a long, gentle sweeper at 140 that should have been no problem. The subsequent Gap twisty area was a nightmare. After I changed my underwear at the turnaround, I finished the race but at reduced speed.

George - Congrats on the 189. Sorry about the engine. I know how that goes. I feel your pain.

Rich - You're like the black angel of death when it comes to motors & 928 events . . . Only kidding, only love here.

Glad you're both safe and sound. Must have been a nervous moment when the engine shut off and you had no power steering to make the corner for the first or the second turn-off. Good job George recognizing the problem and staying in control.

Don't worry Rich.. I have worse statistics than you.. Three races and three broken cars.. Luckily one of them was during a test drive before the race..

True, but you always seem to be lurking.

Waiting.

Circling.

Like a 928 buzzard, waiting to clean the bones of the departed.

Did you get that car in MT?

Richard S claims another victim.

I strive to understand the basis for behavior of suspensions....I know how to set shocks for types of driving, but still do not understand your results.

Someday when I have time, I will take a good look at your 928 and the shocks, there is a logical explanation there that we just don't see....at least now.

No magic in 928, just science.

Now back to the science of going fast.....!!!

Thanks Bill,

I do have the first leg recorded, I just don't have time to edit and convert
it right now. I have ~6,000 photos to go through for the Event Photos.

George

P.S. I talked to Dave today, and he found the oil pan full of water.

George, do you have video from the first leg?

No, you were going too fast. I must have blinked.

Enjoy the rust.

Hey, you didn't break my car! And we took a second place in the 145 class. Of course, I didn't let you drive it.

JESUS H. CHRIST! THE SHOCKS WERE BAD!! You rode in my car, you bounced the rear end up at Tim's place. BOING, BOING! THE SHOCKS WERE BAD. I spent 3 years driving around on a total piece of crap after those shocks were put on. Those shocks are gone and so is the crappy handling. It would be wise to just let this one go.
