Invitation - Timing Belt Party
#211
Bill,
In the interest of science and furthering the knowledge base of the community I would be happy to offer my car which has almost exactly 2000 miles on it's TB and needs retensioning, to be used to gain comparitive experience with the the 2 TB tools! Mark
PS YAY! I a "real" rennlister now!!
BTW I have a tech degree in electronics, though I got it way back in '85 I still have the ability to understand schematics and a good working knowledge. Perhaps we should have an "Electrical spagetti" party in Alamo some time and make some headway on your "other" shark

Beth,
Got my shark back on the road. Just as Jim Bailey recommended. Sticky caliper pistons on the outboard side of the caliper. A little emery cloth and I'm back in BWAAAAAAA heaven. You will be too very soon. I'm sure it is just an electircal malfunction.
Thanks again for the wonderful day. Your mom is really cool and fun to talk to. She shared her secret recipe for the saurekraut with me. WOO HOO! Man that stuff was amazing.
Cheers,

LOL! In this case, attendance might depend on whether it comes with tomato, pesto, or Alfredo sauce...
That's a good question!! Bill, what color is the interior? I really think we should match it don't you? M

Not sure.
It appears the fan is fine, so the problem is in the fan controller (near passenger seat) or amplifier (on cowl in front of engine comparment) or in the wiring harness. so, we need to do some swapping of the possible parts to isolate the problem. Or maybe Dave A or Mark with all their electrical expertise can help us with the diagnosis. Keep it on the list for the next party as soon as we get a sunny weekend day.

His interior is black . . . . maybe really, really dark pesto?
Ok Nicole, not the 5th. I have a wedding to attend to Feb 26th. Nicole is out March 5th. I'll be in Disneyland March 10-13 (looks like the '85 will have to make the trip).
So it's looking like March 19th if the weather is good will be the day. Bill, how does that sound at this point? And would anyone else like to come visit again?

We were just yanking your chain with the "yep, it leaks" comments.... Anyway, glad to hear that the surgery was a success. We would have tested it at the time, but the silicon had not cured...
Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the next one or not.... March 26th sounds good now, but a lot can happen to my schedule in 6 weeks.
