You know I got rid of the squirters in the front bumper cover and had it all done , heat lamped to get rid of the warpage, painted and all............ well I go to put it on and IT FRIGGING SHRUNK almost 1/2" from left to right making it impossible to put back on! BWAAHAHHAAAAAA I almost $hit!!! Having it hot and sprayed with chemicals didnt do it much good without being fastened to the fenders to keep its dimentions. Lesson learned? Dont do that $hit!! man O' man.....
I'm in the market for an excellent condition front bumper cover if anyone has one.

I was spraying my bumper with Bumper strip by 3m or SEM (I forgot) yesterday. When do you think it shrank? In the heat lamp? Are you sure its physically smaller instead of simply in a different warped shape? With this stuff we are way past

Alright feb6 weekend and I tookon the instrument clusters. Man This along with the dash cover was one of the coolest bang for the bucks. Like I said I got all of it from ebay and it coast about $94 I guess with a can of spray paint.
Ok started out with this
Pop off the front and unscrew the back
Then ya get this...................
That looked like hell and some how was corroded but some 220 sandpaper ,paint, two way tape included with the guage cover and the bezels and here ya go.

Got these from ebay as well $56.
two way taped them to the original faces, put the guages back behind the bezels and face, screwed them back together and glued the glass back onto it and tadaa
AND NONE of it was difficult except working around the guage needles. Of course I broke one. Oh yeh you get left with this to put back as well hahaha.

Thanks Joe man........ That was a cool thing to detail the view from behind the wheel. It's cool to be getting down to the little cool things that will make it unique. It's hard to make cool changes without being Ghetto. Especially since I spent a few of my teenage years in East St Louis. I feel socially handycappedas a result sometimes haha. When the wheel gets in (probably tomorrow) I'll get it on next week and that should make a difference.
Check it out, I was looking at my seatbelts and I was thinking they looked kinda dirty so I was cleaning them up. They looked nice afterward but black is black. WELL... I was thinking again. I think I'm going to go to the junk yard and get some late model seat belt material out of a Tahoe or something in a light grey. That would look killer across the seats what do you think? I think it would give it an ultimate sport look.
Oh yeh, I got rid of the rear wiper on the hatch this weekend, anyone need parts?

Hey Jeff - would you be willing to post who you got the guages from on eBay? Or at least who makes that? I really like how they look...
BTW - I'm down in Leesburg - if you ever need a set of hands, I would be happy to help out - you are doing some amazing, amazing work

928fan4life I used the Aluminum backround and the chrome rings. The same ones I posted a couple of pages back. Looked kinda cheesy when I got them but looked great all together.
