Ahhhhh!!!....
Well Todd is near Boone... I've been to Hickory, and the 'rents seem to think i need to drive that-a-way... I'll just pay attention to the plans you guys are making, and just meet someplace. Driving with others would be cool though.. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

I hope that most of us will be driving in it. Still haven't heard from the event organizers though.

Matt, the large mall off of the inner beltline is Crabtree Valley Mall, on Glenwood Ave/hwy 70 west. On I-40 the exit for Miami Blvd has a strip mall but I don't know the name.

Do any of you guys think that it would be a good idea that we circulate a phone number list so that when we are all trying to meet and we can contact each other when we are trying to meet.

I wouldn't reccommend just posting numbers here but start an email document around.

over1g,

I'm not sure about others, but I plan to participate in the autoX. I'm still not sure if my 951 will be ready by then, but if not then you guys can beat up on my Mustang.

I more likely than not will Be auto-x'ing the car....Do I need to pre-register or just show up?
First time for everything I guess...
I'm still planning on meetin up in Raleigh, would need to get solid directs and times etc.
I think it's not abad idea to start an email thread with phone numbers...
Matt, any ideas on meeting times yet? Any idea on a start time for the event.
I'd chip in for a parking-lot barbeque, but I'm afraid hauling a grill from DC is out of the question...SOmeone else?

Keep the info coming!

How about if one of the guys in Raleigh organize this meet-up in Raleigh. Classes start this Wednesday and the first week is always a pain in the rear, especially with 21 hours. I still want to go, but odds are I won't be on this board much after Wednesday for a little while. I will though, check my email.

Crabtree was the one I was thinking of. Raleigh folks figure out if that's geographically smart to meet there (ie., is it on the NE side when we need to be on the SW) and then let us all know. I think 9 in the AM sounds fine, on SATURDAY.

Thanks fellas,
Matt

Well now that I have decided not to sell my car, I think I may be able to get a radiator in the car and bring it on over, it is not registered, so i'm not sure if i will or not. But at least I'll be able to see a few other P-cars out and about....

nice to see this much interest.

Randy and others:

I like the idea of meeting somewhere close to an exit off the highway but I'm not sure if crebtree is such a good idea. We will be meeting saturday morning afterall and it may be a little crowded around crebtree I would think...

I'd like to get an idea of how many people would want to meet around Raleigh to decide a good place.

Raleigh is prolly out for me..wouldnt make much sense... im right on I40/85, and Raleigh is the opposite direction of Charlotte for me...would ya'll be willing to meet me as you pass my exit (141) on the way to Charlotte? Perhaps call as you near it? Or meet elsewhere? If I'm just being difficult, then I will drive to Raleigh..its only 50 miles from me. Crabtree is cool with me if thats the case. Anyone else?

Crabtree is a large mall with lots of entrances and parking areas. I doubt I can go, I promised my son a fishing trip, but there is a rest area on I-85 not too long after I-40 merges with 85 that would be easier. It's about 30 or 40 minutes outside of Raleigh.

I wouldn't mind meeting whomever wants to meet in Raleigh, and stopping by a rest area on the way to charlotte at a pre determined time (to meet other people there). This is the format BMW guys usually do, I think it works well.

But I'd like to know how many people are up for Raleigh and even though we have overwhelming response to the tread only 1.5 people are up to meet IN raleigh?

I also do think that sharing cell phone #s is a good idea.
