The reason I suggested we ALL meet in Charlotte, all of the groups coming in, is that is when we should arrive at the auto-x. If you guys feel better with meeting at 9a at the Carowinds outlet mall (that is all groups) and going to the auto-x from there at that time, then let's do it. You Raleigh guys get your meet time set accordingly, SC guys do the same, and see y'all there. I will be bringing some tools for the just in case. My theory on car breakdowns is that they are most likely to occur when you leave your talisman at home (tools).

Ok so the plan for Charlotte is between 9 and 10:30 at the Outlet mall in Carowinds. If my directions are not specific enough please let me know and I will get the name of the mall and make directions off of mapquest

Matt, I've only recieved one more e-mail(that makes the total 3).

What do you guys think about just meeting up at crebtree at 6am or thereabouts to leave ourselves plenty of time to get to charlotte on time (according to mapquest raleigh to charlotte is a 3 hour drive, to my experience it's closer to 2).

How about the guys that are coming from far away to meet in Raleigh, who will have to get there at like 6:30 in the AM, just stay there over night? I might even do that myself, depends upon the funds. I have a friend I can stay with, but not even sure if he will be there at that time. What do you all think (all those who want to meet in Raleigh)??

If anybody who's not too familiar with raleigh needs to spend the night in town to be on time for the morning I could possibly meet the out of towners the night before (friday night), and go by our meeting spot, then to a hotel (there's many around crebtree).

Hey I'm coming, and I'll have between 0 and 2 951s with me (if I am finished with my Dad's repairs, and if mine is out of the paintshop in time to get new ball joints installed).

I'll show up even if I am sans-Porsche.

If my car is good to go, I'll be doing more autocrossing than talking, though

 

Bummer about the change in location, though. I like the Eastland lot, and spectating is SOOO much better there...

(plus, it is near my house)

 

I still plan to go given my car is ready (gettin its new engine installed now - supposed to be done by now). I still would like to meet up somewhere on I40W and convoy down though

 

CurlyDE and I were just talking about putting a database on his website where everybody who is coming can enter their name and numbers and email address's. So all of us will have contact info in case someone is running late and needs us to wait on them or needs directions or whatever. We can distribute the list Friday afternoon to everyone who is coming.

 

I'm stil planning on coming. Ahmet, did you get my phone number? I emailed it a while back.
Also, if we are meeting in Raleigh at 6:am, then I'm just going to have to meet up with everyone at the auto-x
I would have to leave at 2 am or earlier to get there on time, and staying over Friday isn't an option because I won't be out of school until about 10pm.
9am worked for me. If you guys really want to meet at 6, go for it.
