Discovered that while I re-sealed the battery tray, I apparently still have yet another leak to track down. It's been raining for two straight days, and there's water in the passenger footwell again... WAY less than before (used to get an inch or more of standing water from a normal moderate rain, and now it's just wet), but still more work to do to track down where it's coming in.

Brought home yet another '87 924s. Amazingly, it still has the original spare-tire wheel-well drainage nipple, keyed locking wheel nuts and covers and Monterey radio!
Still required some attention so I've:
Still required some attention so I've:
- fixed the power windows (just a fuse, thankfully)
- repaired and then replaced the windshield wiper motor (this involved removing the motor, removing tons of rust and generally cleaning it up only to find that it was, for the most part, dead. This, however, didn't stop the requisite removal of the wiper stock and cleaning all the contacts on the wiper switch and headlamp switch and, of course, removing and tuning up of the wiper assembly, relay and fuse...)
- cleaning the sunroof drains, the engine bay drains, the front fender drains and the spare wheel drain.
- repainting the rocker panels and similar lower trim
- regreasing the headlamp assembly (no more squeaks!)
- repairing the rust divot on the hood
- removing decal adhesive from the windshield
- removing a ton of leaves from the engine bay
- removing a mouse nest from the air filter box
- siliconing the rubber around the doors and sunroof
- replacing the hatch rubber seal
- draining the fluid from the rear lights (blinker fluid...lol..!)
- installing a new rearview mirror
- cleaning and lubricating the leather upholstery
- tightening the door storage bin/handles
- cleaning the interior
- put in Porsche floor mats
- removal of the rub stips and adhesive
- repair the electrical connection for the rear window defrost

10 points to Thomas.... zinc roof strips. Playing around with a few small parts for practice. Have yellow zinc chromate in the mail, and a lot of larger parts soaking in denatured alcohol after being sandblasted that will be plated. Hubs, axles, heat shields, random engine bay parts... overall this turned out to be pretty easy and inexpensive. Anodizing aluminum parts is next on the list.
