Aha, Vidraru dam! I've driven there before, beautiful scenery. Can't wait to go back. I wish I could take my 944 next time.

This week I.... drove around with the newly installed 951 trans. I like it better than the NA one. More overlap in the gears and longer legs. Glad I got rid of the empty space between 4th and the long 5th.

you'll learn to love it soon.
I've had it in mine for 5 years now and wouldn't go back.

still having RPMs in 2nd gear at highway speed is fantastic.
and ive proven many times that the NA with a 951 box is as fast or faster than an NA with a standard NA box.

I adjusted the micro switch in the back for the sunroof. Now it works as it should. Never locked before.
I also changed the bulb in the dash clock only to find that the bulb now works but the clock still does not!

Today I attempted to install a new DME Temperature sensor, but found I could not!
Got the car stripped down for the install then found this.

Now, I can get the cap and the coveralls here in Australia, but I have no idea where I'm going to get that giant spanner from.

I think the Germans are calling you a giant spanner

Could you please (if you have a chance) show the linkage from the RHD brake pedal to the brake cylinder?

It's actually inside the car buried behind the dash, they just use a long shaft off the pedal that goes all the way over to the left and actuates the master cylinder.

Is this any help? I'm working on it again tomorrow so if I can get pics I will. However, nothing to see in the engine bay.

I put the nose panel back on the car after some paint jail time. I'm back to driving it.

I changed the DME temp sensor, removed the inlet to get to the heater pipe flange that bolts to the head. It was leaking coolant.
Fixed those things and put everything back on and bled the cooling system.
I've had a good week working on the car!
The only thing left is to get the rear wiper working.

coolant system emptied after the plug broke. 7 days out at the dealer, I called all the Porsche shops and Redmond European pulled one out of their inventory. Refilled, spent the next 2 days making sure it was bled. Running okay for now.
