played around with the DME tuner while driving around town with a laptop...got to dial in this one-off MAF setup.

clicking a mouse and watching your idle speed change is pretty cool.

going back to the dyno tomorrow.

The other day I removed my spring plate bushings. I soaked them in gasoline for two weeks, let them dry for a day, then used a torch to melt what was left of the glue. I was quite surprised when they caught on fire.

My belt sander and a razor blade got most of what was left. I'll need to invest in a new wire wheel for my drill to finish them off.

After that I removed my rusty front struts and blown rear shocks. The dust boots on the struts disintegrated when I touched them....

My Elephant Racing bushings came with a pretty cool koozie.

Thanks!

The other day I rebuilt my clutch slave cylinder . The piston was stuck all the way forward and the rubber boot was torn. It turned out the rubber boot was originally on backwards (based on the exploded view and other pictures I used as a guide for reassembly). Today I finally got around to installing it.

I also installed my control arms with new bushings/ball joints. To top things off I added some Elephant Racing caster blocks.

Last thing I did was put the catalytic converter heat shield back on.

I need to get that new wire wheel for my drill so I can finish my spring plates and get those installed. Only two more paychecks and I can afford my coilovers....

Filled her up with fresh oil and replaced the oil pressure sender while I was at it, old one looks to be factory and had gone bad.

drove around, ran errands for it, washed it, found out its new "compact" car cover only covers the top 2/3 of the car...
