Road worthiness. I think the idea is so that anyone who isn't familiar with car can drive it and can find reverse etc. seems kinda stupid to me too because no way any one is ever driving my baby but me and I know where the gears are lol

Are you kidding me?

I passed a RWC with a momo shift **** (no H). I actually failed the previous RWC because the **** broke my window switch.

Passed with the following:
- MBC (not allowed, but it was visible to the assessor)
- Aftermarket wastegate (all external wastegates are illegal in Melbourne which doesn't make sense because porsches come with from factory. & it's aftermarket so it's not allowed)
- fuel pressure gauge. (apparently you're not allowed to have them or it's an indication to performance modification)
- Aftermarket boost and AFR gauged.

maybe my assessor didn't realise most of that stuff. just the bloody window switch.

The leather is glued down and held in place by the cap. The glue kept it in place when I removed the cap, so the cap is probably just a back up in case the glue fails.

What dried up? The cap or the leather? There's a DIY somewhere on replacing the leather.

the leather has dried up and no longer fits over the plastic bracket that holds it down on the console. i'll check the diy, thanks.

I installed a new rubber grommet for the hatch key hole.

And I unboxed my new sub.

If you blow up the KLA provided sub, an alpine 8" type R works pretty decently in that box with 300w rms pumped to it.

It better not blow for a while or else I'll be pissed. That thing wasn't cheap.... I don't listen to music deafeningly loud, so hopefully it'll last. I mostly got it because my car needed more low end "punch". The dinky speakers I have now provide absolutely no bass. I'm not trying to win any sound competitions.

It does need the "punch", 4x6's don't cut it.... You might be able to mount 6.5" speakers in the rear speaker positions too, that helps out quite a bit. That would be 86+ or so to be able to do it.

My car had the removable plates in the rear, so I squeezed in some 6x9's, but it still wasn't anything to write home about. I think this thing will be plenty for me.

I replaced some sunroof hinge bits. Also received my PS rebuild kit, so that's next on the list.

Today I replaced the hatch pins/the thing they screw into. After that I adjusted them, drenched my car with the hose, and it didn't leak!!!!!!!!!! This car is now my official DD.

Now I can see why the original pins didn't want to come loose
