Drove my new 944 DD to work today for the first time...gawd I hope it isn't on fire in the parking lot! Don't worry. I'll get some pics up soon.
Sure felt nice to drive. Nice and smooth, and way cooler than my old beatup honduh.

Doh. I shouldn't have said "cooler" The drive home was not nearly as smooth. Got caught in some traffic, and noticed the temps climbing...oh oh. As long as I was moving, it would come back down. Got off at the next ramp, and checked out the car. Fans not running..Fuses good. Relay..can't check on the side of the road. BUT I do carry tools...more importantly WIRE. I unplug one fan and run some wire for a ground, and another wire to the fuse box, and jam it in where the fuse for the fan is, and WALAHH. Fan comes on, and I drive home 15min later than normal. Now I have to figure out what went wrong. Its been driving great for that last week or two when I've been driving locally to run some errands and test out the car to see if it breaks before I start to drive it to work. Oh well..That worked well.

Picked up the final piece of the puzzle today. This makes my car totally complete. It had to come from Germany
I still am shocked I can actually buy new shiny parts for a 25 year old car

What is that cyber?
I got mine all put back together on Tuesday afternoon. As soon as the weather gets a little nicer (tomorrow maybe?) I'll start driving it again.

As above. It goes between the firewall and back of motor. It is part of the under body aero dynamics. Many ppl including my PO think they are not needed, and they may be right but I figure if it was good enough of an idea for Porsche to fit it in the first place, then I may as well fit it too.
The notch in the back is not damage, as it is clearly pressed into metal, so it may be only on 952 version(RHD)

Replaced the thermostat with the WP on the car.
DAT SNAP RING. Worst time of my life. Bought some snap ring pliers for cheap a week or so ago, had to bend them with linesmen pliers to get them to fit in the water pump. Took about forever, but got it done.

I spent most of my day messing with a xr200 dirt bike I picked up for cheap.
But I also picked up a volt gauge and oil pressure gauge to put in place of the clock and old oil pressure gauge. I have a bunch of black interior parts to put in so once I get around to put everything in the gauges will go in at the same time.

The thermostat was kind of a pain for me too. I have a snap ring pliers that I can put at 180,90, or 45 degree angle. 45 degree angle worked best for me.
