What did you do to your 924/944 today

Drifting
After chasing a stumbling acceleration problem for nearly a year (tps, vacuum lines, AFM, injectors, plugs, etc) I found the problem was the fuel pump. Even tho I tested the system pressures, leak down and all, the original pump was no longer up to the task of providing sufficient flow at WOT. Now she goes to redline without a hitch.

i have spent the last few weeks chasing a random no start issure that came to a head this weekend on the 88 944 na. The car would not fire up at all!! After changing the fuel pump chk valve, the problem went away for a few weeks. then the exact same turning but not firing up reappeared.
Had spark, fuel pressure and correct flow flow, good batt. no vac leaks present. Installed a diffrent FPR with no effect.. Time to break out the trusty Fluke 117 meter and bingo. The DME coolant temp sensor has gone bad. The ohm readings were off the map and all over the place at 4 diffrent testing temps/ points .
$ 23.00 later and the car is running great. The real test will be in the morning when I attempt to start the car as this sensor enriches the fuel mixture during cold starts and leans the fuel mixture out as the engine temps increase. Wish me luck!!!

I cut 1.75 coils off of the stock springs from my 87 951 and put them on my 84 along with new boge shocks. Rides and looks awesome
Also replaced the clutch master...again

Hoping you could help. A new-to-me 924s has the carpets removed and, as a result, I'm left wondering if the 'holes' in the floor were plugged or left open. Here's a picture.
Thanks!

I'm guessing mine must have had plugs. The tar-like material that looks like it has been scraped away in your pictures was still intact in my car. No holes in the floorpan.

Installed a weltmeister throttle cam and in the process I solved my starting/idling/fuel problem! Woot woot! Overly long and complicated story in project thread.
