Pulled the Alternator off after it decided that it didn't really want to continue working any more.
During the process, I also discovered that I truely do hate my previous owner:

Deferred maintainence item: Install a @#$^ing balance belt.

Good thing I was planning on doing a full set of belts while I was in there.
Oh, I also managed to crack one of the lines on the after market air con that some previous owner thought was a great idea to have installed. My fault though, it happened while I was removing the alternator with my adjuster-ometer (sodding great big rubber mallet).

Bought a motor in May. Took me all summer and now to drop the old and get the new er one in. Last weekend on a 55 degree day in New England winter in an unheated garage all I needed was to put the cat on and hook up the battery until i stripped the threads on the down pipe that was on the newer motor. today it was 29 degrees and I tried to get a die on the stud (everything installed allready in the car) but it was too dam cold. Fingers hurt too much. It's been down for 2 years. Gotta get it running.

both are border collie-x's and both come off different farms. they come from working dog stock and have a lot of eye dog instinct. very fun to train i'm hoping the new one will be as clever as my old one.

Yesterday I pulled my intake and installed a idle air valve to replace my frozen one. Wow my car runs better. Today I had my cracked sandblasted windshield replaced

the speakers that i fit sit a bit proud so the old grills even if they weren't cracked wouldnt fit over them. i have heard that S2/ 964 rear speaker grills- same part for both- will fit over them though.
