flywheel turned, pressure plate and ring gear put together and got the mainseal ready for replacement. Cleaned up the bellhousing and most of the parts underneath in the clutch area. Just about ready to be done with my clutch. Although I'll be doing the torque tube in the next few days.

Washed it, dried it and took off on the beautiful CNY day, did a 100 mile lunch run....along the way found a parking spot... a rose between 2 thorns huh? Hard to believe you'd need almost 25 of mine to buy either one on the side of the 944... thinking for the $142 annual insurance premium maybe I should keep it...

After fixing the bent valves and replaceing the auto tranny finally took the car for a 250+ mile drive today. Car performed just flat great. Took turns with ease, had expected power and was hard to stop the ear-to-ear grin on this pups face. So the short answer is - finally took my car for a drive......Just Great!!!!

I added cabin air filters to cut down on the engine and brake dust smell that was wafting over me from time to time. Basically, I bought some filter material from Lowe's, cut it to size for each vent cover, and secured it in each corner of the mesh screen using a staple (see below). Took about 10 mins and 50 cents. (Also put an air freshener at the air inlet for effect). Smells great now!

Started cleaning my tranny today, don't let the kids see this it's that ugly.
First pic before, #2 and 3 after one hour with a steel wire 'toothbush', engine degreaser and soap and water. Hopefully by tomorrow night it will be all pretty and freshly painted.

That's actually a great idea. I can't believe I didn't thinkn to do that myself. What kind of filter material did you buy and how is the air flow when you turn on your fan?
