Thanks Alex! You are completely correct about the handling. I feel the car is actually more tossable now with the LS2. The weight is the same, and I've never had more appreciation for the 944 chassis, than knowing how well it blends with the V8 Muscle. These cars are very special and deserve to be improved and restored.

You might own a 944 if...
-your car blows hot air into the cabin 24/7.
-you have a floor full of water after the last rain.
-you are in the middle of repairs and realize the PO didn't feel like reinstalling half the hardware ($75 worth of hardware later and its back together-although I guess this could be any 20+ year old car).
-you have everyone race you off the line, even soccer moms in minivans.
-you freak out if anyone even so much as shuts the door a little hard.
-you have to get creative when you have a drink in your car.
-people don't know your name, just simply that you have a Porsche.
Hahaha! Great thread.

You might own a 944 if the statement, "With the cost in money and time it will take to replace the water pump, it makes more sense to swap the engine rather than fix it" is completely logical.

You own a 944 if you think, that its absolutely normal to pay 260 dollars for scripted door handles.

if your left toes hurt from "fixing" your running lights.
Procedure:
wait until dusk to realize your runninglights arent on although your headlights are
pull up behind a shiney tanker truck at a stoplight so you can see your front end in the reflection
locate fuse box
kick it randomly until you achieve the desired results

Fun Thread
If no one understands why you have two of the "same" car.
If no matter what you do, you still can't get enough of the "same" car.
If your ownership of a Porsche has been questioned on a daily basis, by a different person each time.
If friends will text you when they see you driving.
If friends will send you pictures of every other 944 they see.
If you've been asked how much it cost, by a person expecting to hear $50,000.
If you've been yelled at for going the posted speed, because your car looks like it's going really fast.
If you gave up on trying to tell people how to properly say Porsche shortly after buying your car.
If you look forward to the drive to your destination more than actually reaching your destination.
