When your best friend - who has trusted you with his life many times before - stops mid sentence to say "Can you slow down, you're scaring the **** out of me".
...and it takes you a while realize why.

Even though your list of projects will take 6 months to complete if you started working on them today.......your are still buying parts for the ones that aren't on your list yet.
You are can't figure out how you missed that complete OEM Roofrack System that just sold on Pelican for $300.

From: one thousand, five hundred miles north of Ft. Lauderdale for the summer.
you might own a 944 if....
1. you wonder why the car feels like it might go airborne when i take it over 125 mph.
2. you wonder why you have to hold the wheel so hard to keep the car straight.
3. you log on to Rennlist incredulous about this unique feature about the 944 and ...
4. some A-hole on rennlist offers the solution; "get a 968...." even though you didn't even ask.
5. but other Rennlisters say, "naw, this doesn't happen wiith the 944."

1. In my case I realized I've bought 3 (and 2 968s) in a span of 9 years and made money or at least broke even on everyone.
2. Then you find "the one" that took 5 years to locate and happily pay almost twice market for it (now wait for it, wait for it....)
3. Just to have it blow two gaskets (at 35K) that will entail pulling the f*&king engine to replace at 20 hours @ $100/hour.
4. But you still keep telling your wife that the car is still a bargain and you'd rather drive it than anything else you've owned....
And at the end of it all:
You still turn around to look at it after parking at the grocery store....

...You belatedly discover that the PO, wanting to own and run a P-car on the cheap, did his own maintenance and mods with acres of DIY wiring (made up of many small scraps of wire he must have had lying around on the bench), about 4 kilos of solder, a staple-gun and some superglue.
And that the PO seemed incapable of unscrewing and screwing anything without also wrecking the thread (enter the superglue)...
Sigh.

...everyone else drives too slow.
...if going on a drive convinces you to baby your car more.
...you've never gotten laid in your car (no space) but have gotten laid the minute you stepped out.
...you often go to the garage/street/driveway just to look at your car or check the oil and water levels.

Man dont wish this on me . It almost sounds like "Dont tase me, bro."
But I have not had any front end float on my 951. Maybe there is something to that Koni suspension afterall.
Front end float is something I know something about having owned an original 351 Mach One Ford Mustang. It had a bad motor in it. But uhhh...handling. Whats handling?. It needed all four lanes to go 120 and keep it between the poles and ditches.
So dont tase me, or wish this on me Bro!
