Agree to disagree. The speedster is a GT3 convertible that was made once in never, with MT. The base Spyder has been around since 987.2. They built a million 718 Spyders and they go for less than the GT4 on the used market these days. The technical difference and use case from a 718 Spyder to a Spyder RS is much smaller than the top NA 911 like the Carrera GTS convertible to a speedster.
There have been several Speedster generations. The latest actually started as a 4S Cab.
What does the price, or number produced, of a Spyder compared to GT4 have to do with the Spyder RS?
Use case; dunno gonna use it same as my current Spyder 🤷♂️

MY23 GT4RS 1293
MY24 GT4RS ~1000
MY25 GT4RS unknown
My guess around 2500 GT4RS
gt4 to spyder ratio
4:3
SRS production numbers 1875
The Math, baby; gotta love it
Even if NA only gets 2000 GT4rs, That would still put SRS at 1500.

Your “math” is based on all sorts of assumptions, and ignores all sorts of barriers, not to mention once in history market / govt forces.
I’ll take that wager. A virtual coke?

I don’t know what you’re trying to say above.

the Speedster on Cars and Bids (black car) was bid to $314. In other words, no sale. The real world price in Speedsters is near $400k. The real world price on the Spyder RS's will be MORE than $100k less. Comparing the SRS to a base Spyder is like comparing the Speedster vs the base 911 T. Porsche hasn't made a Spyder RS car since the 1960s. These are special cars that will always be desirable, like the Speedster.
P.S. We have a SRS coming in q1 of 2024. We are paying over list. We are happy to have the spot.

Just do a search on gt4rs production numbers
And another search on gt4 and spyder production numbers.
Yes it an assumption and guesstimate based on math and was not pulled from the air or ***. I'm here for a SRS but I don't get why people get so defensive about rarity and paying ADM. It's a mass production car.

It was the assumption that those were set in stone production ratios.
Maybe, maybe not.
Time will tell. Regardless of number produced I’d like one.

Contrarian opinion, the 4RS is not an attractive car, the Spyder is. None of these cars are a rational purchase.

Your original iron clad statement provided no rationale. You've now provided some. That's better.
Here's my (wild **** guess) and the rationale:
- Word from every cleaning lady pre-announcement was that the SRS would be made in very small numbers. Word was as low as 1k worldwide (or 1K NA? It was unclear). Take that with a grain of salt.
- It took 4 years of production to build / sell 2500 spyders, but that also had unique challenges (COVID, breakout of Ukraine war)
- The 4rs was out a fair amount of time before the SRS was announced, meaning a lot of the people that wanted a 718 with a gt3 motor went ahead and pulled the 4rs trigger
- The SRS is a niche car in a niche market - no MT, janky roof, loud. Many folks not interested due to that.
Given all that, I have no idea what Porsche will do (based on EV schedule / EU regulations / cyber issues / world economy / etc), and anyone claiming they DO know is, to put it politely...pulling numbers out of their...air.

Three Wheelin'
My gut tells me this will be a smaller production car than many think. My understanding is that with a motorsport allocation you typically had time to think about taking it and who would be the purchaser, but with the SRS it was a "I need to know right now" conversation or you were giving up the allocation chance. Who knows, but all I really know is that I can't wait to drive this car and have it in my garage.

I don't want to join the debate as I don't have a side here, just adding information. The numbers may be altered by the fact that I do not believe there has ever been a 911 variant in a cab with the RS designation, and the last convertible or roadster if you will with the RS designation was the 1959 Spyder RSK I believe. (not stating this as a fact, best I can recall) This is why as I have tried very hard to get an allocation, and I am right on the cut line depending on how many come, I am telling myself I won't get one to avoid the unhappy disappointment. Most all of my friends and I have the same equation for happiness, as happiness = reality/expectations. So, to stay happy and keep the answer greater than one, I have to lower expectations.
