Because the expense just starts when you get them home? lol But still, you do have a point.

No allocations yet for USA... Just order demands so far. Rumors of October are just that... so far anyway.

Lots of money around, many just paid 100-170k over to be the first GT3RS delivery in their areas.

If this is the last ICE Cayman/Boxster, they may build them until the demand fizzles. I won’t pay a penny over MSRP, and I do expect to get one at some point.

Also this talk about huge ADM is hype, it’s not a $300k+ car. At that price, I pick up a used or new exotic.

Yeah I remember 2 years ago reading the 992 GT3 threads with everyone screaming saying end of the production run they will be MSRP. Look at it now, Porsche increased the prices on them by 20k+ and allocations are still 50k+ with production being almost over.

4RS did go from 70-100 to 50-70 right now but I don't really see it going lower quickly unless you wait a long time if it does happen. If the 4RS goes lower then it means the 992 GT3, 991.2 GT3RS, 991.1 3RS all have to go down as well.

I predict the SRS will start at the 70-100 over then settle at 50-70 and follow similar trends as the 4RS. Only way it goes lower quickly is if something greater happens with the economy.

The thing is there will be more people with very deep pockets then the amount of cars that will be built. It will be near impossible to get a SRS for MSRP unless you have a major connection with a dealership.

That's kind of where I am at as well - I can see getting into the 185 range (25K worth of options) but that feels like a lot, in and of itself.

But 250? Or something in that range? Yes, the engine is worth a lot...but I don't know that it's worth 100K more than I paid for my regular Spyder.

My 4RS is a heavy build and after Cali taxes/full car clear bra/mods/etc I'm over 100k than a comparable 718 GT4/Spyder, it's 100% worth it for the total package you get. I have 0 regrets.

How much would it cost to upgrade the base Spyder roof to the far superior SRS roof?

Motorsport engine makes some sense for the track, but for the road I think it’s overkill, not enough torque at low-mid rpm, and not worth $100k more. If it’s sound that someone is after, exhaust mods can be used to tune the sound of the car.

And I still say this car is not a real RS in the sense of being designed to maximize performance and fun on the track. Softer springs, limited downforce, lack of metal roof, and inability to use harnesses is not the stuff of an RS.
